I think I've mentioned this before but I love the whole Crystal City/Arlington area. I've been down there a ton over the past year for work and can totally move my business down there and set up shop without much of a hiccup to the rest of my life..it's not terribly far from philly, home, west point, etc..

Generally speaking, how does that location stack up as far as living for a few years? I like Georgetown too but I don't think I'd move there unless it was the perfect spot..
Did my grad work at Georgetown.  The neighborhood is a snobatorium, and pricey, with no train access.  Like DC well enough, and Arlington/CC is a great location to access everything.
The best thing about DC is the availability of almost any ethnic food you can think of, often cheap and authentic, if you know where to look.  We don't have any of that here in N Ill.

I just finished grad school at Georgetown in May.... can we play tummy sticks?

Hopefully you were in a decent part of the school, like Law.  Not Biology.

Teaching monkeys about economics

QuoteSomething else happened during that chaotic scene, something that convinced Chen of the monkeys' true grasp of money. Perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic of money, after all, is its fungibility, the fact that it can be used to buy not just food but anything. During the chaos in the monkey cage, Chen saw something out of the corner of his eye that he would later try to play down but in his heart of hearts he knew to be true. What he witnessed was probably the first observed exchange of money for sex in the history of monkeykind. (Further proof that the monkeys truly understood money: the monkey who was paid for sex immediately traded the token in for a grape.)

Monkeys understanding the concept of money.  Next they will get jobs.  I think we know what happens next..........

QuoteIn an Orlando courtroom this morning, it was revealed that ABC News has paid $200,000 to the family of murdered toddler Caylee Anthony, with the money going to Casey Anthony's legal defense.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

There's no reason to post when anything you say is just gonna be contrasted by igy hyperbolicly telling you that you couldn't be more wrong, todd jumping in just to go back and forth for 2 pages with him, and obliterating all hope of any real conversation. No Hippos needs to be put to more use
