You can be forgiven this ignorance because you're bright enough to avoid spending ten hours per day here.

The other cf is another football forum with the initials cf -- I forget what it's actually called -- that is run by and for people who think that white football players are being discriminated against by the NFL and media.  The threads and posts allege that black players are promoted at the expense of better, white, players in order to appease the PC police.

Some of us registered and tried to post over there a bit, but they have excellent "hey, this isn't one of us" radar, and banned/locked down immediately.

MDS reads their board regularly and drops some of their gems on us here from time to time.

We are, as you can imagine, forever grateful to him for this selfless service.

Lol, thanks. Can't believe the ignorance in this day and age and there's people who don't get that it's only black QBs that the NFL is very desirous of doing well.

i cant put my finger on what it is but theres something about dio that makes me want to kiss him
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Unfarging believable.

QuoteAn area fire department felt the heat Thursday after a department policy allowed a home to burn to the ground.

The focus remains on what's called subscription fire service. Some people living in Obion County, Tennessee must pay a $75 fee to a city fire department if they want firefighters to respond in an emergency.

It's horrible to charge people money for emergency services when their tax dollars are already supposed to take care of that, but if you really want the extra money, how about sending them a bill after the fact instead of just letting someone's house burn to the ground.

And in related news, a similar law is being passed in Tracy, CA.

QuoteResidents will pay $300 for every fire department response to a medical emergency. Non-residents can expect to pay $400. There is no set cost for a fire department visit to a car accident.

The city is working out an option so that households can pay an annual membership fee of $48, which would cover the cost of any emergency aid given during the course of a year, said David Bramell, who is acting as fire chief while Chief Chris Bosch is on administrative leave.

Next up, charging them money to make sure some guys don't come around with a can of gas and some matches.

pretty cool....

MELBOURNE, Fla. — A message in a bottle sent by a Florida high school student as part of his marine science class has come ashore in Ireland. Corey Swearingen put the bottle into the Atlantic Ocean in April 2009 and it followed the current all the way to a small fishing village in Ireland. A 17-year-old boy and his father found the bottle during a family vacation.

Swearingen's former teacher, Ethan Hall, says the bottle's trip probably lasted about 16 months or so.

In Ireland, the boy and his father responded to the letter, which urged the reader to write with details of the bottle's location.

Swearingen told Melbourne newspaper Florida Today he didn't expect the bottle to be found. He's now studying at Florida Atlantic University.

I don't think the 1st ammendment even applies to this does it?  Freedom to bear flyers?  But I still agree.  I don't know what part of the Constitution protects people's rights to put their paws all over my car and leave their advertisements under my windshield.  Or to put their business card, flyers or whatever between my storm and house door.

The phone book I don't have a problem with.  It's practically useless to me since I have interwebs and can look up basically any phone number I need.  But I'd imagine it still serves a purpose to someone who doesn't.  When I get one on my door step I just set it next to the fire place and use it as kindling come winter.

I am shocked no Houston neighborhoods are on that list while 3 Vegas ones are.

Speaking of Vegas...time for another trip. I'm jonesing.

I'm surprised to not see Baltimore, as well.  Or East St. Louis.
