I have herbs, but nothing like igy's. Stuff is expensive. I love peppers thats why I plant a lot of 'em in my Dad's garden. Bell, bannana, chili, japoleno, and this year habenaro peppers. Most every pepper is upwards of 2.50 per lb. in the store. Red and yellow bells are 2.99. Green I saw for .99.

And yeah, fresh is always best.

trust me im NOT some sort of herb grower...i dont even have a green thumb...i was kinda just messin around and that rosemary took on a life of its own...the rest of them are basically weeds that a three year old could grow

rosemary is hearty stuff, it thrives around here.   my friend has a bush of it he has to trim every year to keep from overgrowing everthing around it

My Dad will plant Kale that grows all winter, it's crazy good after a frost gets it.

I love greens.  Any kind, really.  Kale, Spinach, Collards, Chard, Cabbage, etc...love 'em all.

Me too, wouldn't hit a cat in the ass with a turnip, but love the turnip greens. I was thinking of doing a southern seasoning thing with the Kale this year, like the Glory seasoned greens in the grocerey store. Seems to be not much more than cracked red and black pepper.

I really love the Collards, but man, if I eat too much, I'm running to the bathroom all night.

i regularly make collards...they are great and super cheap...make sure you get some meaty ham hocks so you have valid shredded ham in them and you can eat for lunch at work for almost two straight weeks....it gets really old towards the end but then i just dont eat them again for a few ...cant beat two weeks of lunches for like ten bucks tho

Fat back, which is probably why it has the 'run to the bathroom' effect on me. Shredded pork butt is what my Mom used to put in them.

ice grillin you

fat back is an optional extra imo...you MUST have ham hocks

ive never heard of shredded pork in them

I guess you can put just about anything in them. I've also put bacon in them. Scrumcious. I've known people to put wedged apples in them.

So wait. Seriously. No one is going to comment on the fact that IGY has a green thumb?
