Got my final hunter certification today, now i can snipe shtein for real.  Just need a farm again, the one that i used last year, the guy who paid for the whole thing, and all the blinds, backed out.  He was paying 22k a year to use 3 deer stands, 2 water blinds, and 1 field blind.  The farmers son raised rates up to 27k a year, and the guy who paid for all of us said farg that.  He's got another place down closer to towson.  Sucks to not have a place we used for free, and he supplied everything.

Random vent here...if your kid is under 3 and not potty trained, no...they are not going to "school". They are going to daycare.

3 years old and potty trained? Its preschool.

Stop trying to pass off your just turned 2 year old in diapers as some brilliant kid who is going to school...you're taking him/her to daycare.

Thanks.

Carry on.

I totally agree. That drives me nuts and I hate that. Whenever I get into a conversation about that, I make sure to use the word "daycare" as much as humanly possible. I think they say "school" to feel less guilty about not raising their own kids.

you should see the kids my wife has this year as a pre school teacher.  She teaches in a title 1 school, meaning that most students come from poor families.  The problem with these families is they treat having their kids in school, as daycare.  Its amazing how trashy some of the families can be.

Basically any topic of conversation involving other people's children is usually boring and annoying. I understand that your own child is fascinating and wonderful and amazing and blah blah blah but no one wants to hear about it unless they are related to you.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I agree with that, too. I'm really agreeable this morning.

There is a difference between a daycare and a learning center....neither should be called school, but some "daycares" actually do take the time to teach the kids stuff.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

While that may be true, its still daycare. Don't call it preschool.

Try some of the families with special-needs kids. Scary.

I always thought of it as, "place to dump my kids while I go to work."

Thats what she teaches.  Maryland is inclusive and she's the primary spec ed teacher, and most preschool kids accepted are either on the lower poverty scale or have IEP's.  She has some bad ones, i really have no clue how she does it.

Well, what if the parent is a non-working, live off her husband, rich bitch?

Then it's, "a place to dump the kids while I go shopping and get a mani-pedi."
