They got 7 starters not including Vrabel out of that Free Agency. Larry Izzo and Je'Rod Cherry were great special teamers for a group that was awful the year before. Buckley was there nickle back. So please be informed The Patriots did use the FA in 2001 to win there first Superbowl. No they weren't big names but when you get 7 starters you did a good job. They wouldn't of won the Superbowl without going out and signing these players.
