As a matter of fact, like actual science, I think it's true that NFL players on average live longer than the average American?

The average seems to be just under 60 years for NFL players, so with the lifespan of the average American trending downwards, you'll be correct in about 20 years. Assuming the nfl still exists, and the national sport hasn't been replaced by disc golf or pickleball.
