Gaffney = McCants

No big deal. this is just an insurance sign. we'll see what he can do come training camp.  other than that its not worth talking about.

not even close. what on earth makes you think that?

im not talking about talent douche.  im talking about contract signing and performance in camp.  mccants not playing last year was a bit of a shock to me.  maybe he just sucks.  i wouldn't be surprised if jabar sits as we watch wilbur drop passes and pinky puss out all year.  he was a starter on the Texans, prob the worst offense consistently in past some years.  im not impressed at all, how many number 2 and 3 receivers do we need?

1. Gaffney will not sit while Pinkston and McMullen play. That's retarded to say the least.

2. You just contradicted yourself. Gaffney was a starter on a team that couldn't even get the ball in the air because the QB was on his ASS every other snap. How can you be impressed with the WORST offense in football? That's hardly GAFFNEY's fault. Everyone and their grandmother knows that David Carr would be a better QB had the Texans spent a dime on an oline.

You effortlessly move between making no sense at all and making some half-OK points.  Hard to navigate.

Gaffney's raw talent level is right there in between Reggie Brown and Todd Pinkston.  All three were drafted in the first few picks of the 2nd round of their respective drafts.  McCants has never sniffed that kind of general capability.  He's a bigger target and a red zone possibility, but he's not an every down option.  Gaffney is, because he's much more athletic and has very good hands.  He's produced at an averagish level on a well below average offense.  The kid makes our depth chart better, and might even surprise you.

You don't have to knee-jerk reaction like a retard every time the Eagles sign someone you don't know anything about.

This deal doesn't bother me one bit.  There's no risk involved.  That said, I wish the Eagles would just ship off a 7th to Buffalo for the rights to Moulds and get it over with.

I like this move. Very solid signing.

I think Gaffney could actually be a better WR than Randle El, but Randel El was such a hot commodity because he has so many intangibles and can be put in various places.

Moreover, I think Randle El benefited from a great run game and playing opposite of Hines Ward. Gaffney put up decent numbers and is sure-handed. His YPC are weak but you also have to consider that Carr had no time to throw so he probably ran a lot of underneath routes.

I'm excited to see what Gaffney can do, especially considering it's a one year deal and he'll have to prove himself to secure a big payday in 2007.

Buffalo has to be willing, Zanshin. And so far, they are not....so we have to wait and see what happens.

They're just holding out to see what they can get.  That's about it.

SunMo

what i don't get is if Moulds won't take a pay cut, and the Bills won't accept his cap number, why are they taking so long to cut him?  they just want to screw him?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Zanshin

Nah, he'll be trade bait through the draft with the convenient side benefit of screwing him.

Well jesus FF, you can take Jabar's dick out of your mouth already.

Im not fargin impressed. Its nice to have 10 number 2 and 3's on the team, but its not getting us anywhere if we have a pass happy offense.  We need a game-breaker at WR.  Our team isn't getting any younger.

and where exactly is that game breaking WR you speak of?

Givens? Hardly

Randle El? Not even close

When you're mentally overmatched, the best bet is to make a gay joke.  Good job, sir.
