any idea what we are paying (Kareen Abdul) Jabar Gaffney for this one year?  knowing the Eagles FO, it's gotta be a bargain....however, you-know-who is his agent >:D

I still want Walker..or Moulds

It's a lateral move at best, Mo.

Givens would have been a huge upgrade over anyone on the roster except Reggie.

If the Eagles get Walker, then I'll be more than happy to retract what I said, but arguing that Gaffney is a better choice than Givens is homertastic to the extreme.

Holy crap...talk about twisting around what I said. I think you need to go back and reread my post, psycho boy.  ::)

No, I understood it perfectly.  I simply disagreed with you.  We're still allowed to disagree with one another in this forum, right princess?

im confused as to what exactly there is to read in between the lines as far as pinky...is it a secret that he had an achilles blowout last year?....a wr isnt coming back 100% from that and is going to have a high chance of reinjury

reggie brown will never be a number 1 wr in this league much less chad johnson...i love reggie and hes gonna be damn good but he doesnt have the tools to be a one...hes more of a route runner than a take it to house gamebreaker...hes not chad johnson hes a poor mans marvin harrison

i'm pretty sure most of us still want walker or moulds....but personally, i don't want to see mcmullen, g-lew, or even pinkston on the field much (if at all)...and signing gaffney makes that more likely.  same goes for the mccants signing.

Explain to me why expecting Reggie to turn into a Chad Johnson or Chris Chambers type WR is so homertastic?

I honestly believe that.

Reggie Brown put up numbers with Mike McMahon at QB. He really didn't play until TO was gone. He started the WAS game with McNabb and him and Donny had some nice hookups. But the guy put up nice numbers for a rookie, especially on this team where rookies go to die, and Mike f'ing McMahon was his QB most of the time. Think about that.

So is it a reach? I don't think so.

I truly believe that Reggie Brown is going to be a stud.

Ding ding ding.

(except for the Lewis thing....I think as a #3-#4, he's solid, as we saw in 2004)

with the injury walker is very iffy to me as far as 06 goes...

id love to get him but it would be for him to be your number 1 guy in 07 and beyond

moulds for huge money this and next year....walker incentive laden contract that can make him a very rich man in two three years

Phreak, Chad Johnson is one of the top three WRs in the league. Reggie Brown is not.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Yet.

I see similarities in their game. I never said Reggie was Chad now. I said he CAN be a Chad Johnson type guy. And I fully belieeeeee dat.

One thing to remember about Walker is that he blew that knee out in the first week or two of the season.  Recovery time on those things are right about in the area of a year and already at this point, it's been about 6-7 months since the injury.  By the time the season rolls around, he should be pretty damn close to... if not fully recovered.  If he indeed comes all the way back, which recent history suggests he will... it should be by the start of the season.

Rome, c'mon now.  Givens numbers were better than Gaffney's on the team that won the SB 3 out of the last 5 years.  They have a good OL and an experienced QB.  You think Gaffney would have better numbers on NE?  Hell, Greggie probably would.  Let's see what happens before we claim the sky's fallen.

I think Reggie's great and all but Chad Johnson is a special, special player, Phreak.

We'll see.

BTW: Belieeeeee dat?   Nice.   :-D

they said his tear was 6-12 months for full recovery...and thats just to get back on the field physically...that doesnt include psychological and timing issues...i wouldnt count on him for the first half of this season...after that he may come into his old own but its a dice roll

Reggie Brown put up numbers with Mike McMahon at QB

brandon lloyd put up better numbers with alex smith ken dorsey tim rattay and cody pickett on a horrid team...is he the next terrell owens?...
