what has he ever done to make him a stud

his weight and conditioning is very questionable...he was terrible last year cause of it...i like the kid and he has a huge upside but until he proves he can get in shape he belongs in the questionmark category along with the rest of the line

In my opinion, Pinkston is done. I don't think he can come back and be as effective as he was before, in whatecer capacity he could be considered effective to begin with.

Brown, Finneran, Lewis, McMullen, and a draft pick is my prediction for the WR corps. next year.

Moreover, Pinkston is a big confidence guy, and I don't know how he'll respond after sitting out a whole season and essentially having to get back in the flow of the game. I just don't think he's mentally tough enough to be the player he used to be. I wouldn't be surprised if he's cut during TC.

By that's my humble opinion. I'm also not a Pinkston fan so I wouldn't mind seeing him go.

I agree completely.  If Andrews is packing 380 again this year and is similar to Andrews of 2005... not good enough.

General_Failure

He could be 450 and he still wouldn't be the weak link on that line.

The man. The myth. The legend.

He doesn't get manhandled by interior linemen.  He was one of the few guys last year who could generate a push the five times we decided to run the ball last year.  Of course, he's got his weight issues... but like GF said, without Runyan, do you see a better lineman along that line? (Which I know... I know... that's a problem.)

I'll give you though that I meant that I think he will be a stud.

I never said he was horrible, although he is a lardass.

He was good, but he should be great this year after having another year to get in shape.  If he hasn't gotten in shape, then he is what he is.. a decent, serviceable starting guard.  Whoop dee damn doo.

last year he wasnt even servicable...he had a bad year period...fraley sucks taint yes but another major culprit in the constant pressure that came up the middle all year was andrews and his inability to do anything but lock down on another man and bullrush them into the ground...he simply was unable to move laterally and when you pass as mucha s the eagle that is unacceptable

Also, making the Pro Bowl doesn't really mean anything/everything, let alone being the 2nd alternate.

For an O-lineman... it has more merit because it means that your peers noticed and respected the job you did during the season.  He damn sure didn't get recognition on his name.

If you're talking about Artis Hicks, then this statement is true.  Otherwise, not so much.

if you watched andrews at all last year you saw him consistently get abused in pass protection...he got stunted to death many times as he couldnt move quick enough to get to the second man

pancakes makes the highlites and its what everyone talkes about but theres more to being an offensive lineman

Is anyone else sick and tired of certain people "keepin' it real?"

Today was a damn good day.  The Eagles addressed a huge need by signing Darren Howard.   How about a little more of this...   :)  and a lot less of this...   :'(  in this place?

link?

Look... I'm not saying Andrews doesn't need to improve, but outside of Fraley... Hicks was obviously the weak link on the interior.  He was the one getting manhandled anytime there was a big DT on the inside.  He was the one routinely missing assignments that let a rusher get through.  Proof?  Check the ATL game where McNabb took the shot to the sternum... see who Lavalais blasted through to get to McNabb.  Check on the last drive, the 4th and 10... the pass that McNabb had to throw early.  See who Coleman abused to get the pressure up the gut on McNabb.

Again, Andrews has shtein he has to work on... such as getting his ass out on screens and recognizing the man to block (something he farged up in the Atlanta game as well, among others.. and his weight will need to be under control for him to do so) but last year was practically the kid's rookie season and he was a damn pro-bowl alternate.  You make it sound like he sucked... and that just ain't the case.  He and Runyan made the right side of the line relatively reliable.  He's only going to get better... as long as they keep his big ass at RG and don't slide him out.
