Bentley apparently IS at the Novacare Center this morning

One thing I don't get is, one signing falls to shtein, and everyone all of a sudden thinks that the Eagles won't do shtein this offseason.

Who else is out there? Hutchinson probably won't happen. Witherspoon? Forget it, we already signed Barber. Rocky Bernard? Would love to see it happen but doubt the Eagles pay him the type of deal he thinks he's worth. Givens? There's a bidding war for his services and you know the Eagles don't play that game.

Here's what we're going to get, a bunch of over the hill veterans that are nothing more than band-aids. Barber, Mawae, some average WR, maybe Darren Howard.

I'm furious, and everyone has every right to be furious too, but this debacle doesn't have anything to do with other free agents. I've got to think they'll make up for this. I mean they have to don't they? They finished 6-10. They have like 30 million under when TO is cut.

They have no excuses this time. I'd like to think they'll still be aggressive, but if they don't make a splash, it will say all that needs to be said about how Lurie and Banner feel about their fans.

I'd love to believe you, but quality players are visiting elsewhere, and the Eagles are apparently just waiting to see who falls all the way through the cracks before they do anything.  That is the complete opposite of aggressive and all-but guarantees that the team will not get any of the top-end talent.

Depth is great and all, but this team needs starting help at DT, OL (possibly more than one spot), SAM LB, and FB in order to fix some of the mistakes of last season.

This first day speaks volumes.

CLE was the ONLY team who could've stolen him and they did. They farging did it.

The Eagles should be embarassed and ashamed that they screwed the pooch so farging badly on this one. You get his fargin ass into Philly and you sign him. And if he's hesitant to come to Philly you tell his agent that you have a lot of goddamn money.

And as the Eagles sit around with their thumbs shoved up their fargin iceholes players are signing elswhere.

They have to spend atleast 14 mil. Im pretty sure a team is required to spend atleast 85% of the cap limit by rule. What amazes me is Spadaros comment this morning on the EMB, where he frankly stated the Eagles have no visits planned for today.........This amazes me.

Losing Bentley sucks, but...think of it this way. 

Center was not a huge hole on our team.  Fraley is an acceptable player.  Jackson showed flashes of real ability last year.  We lost out on an upgrade, but we aren't stuck with a position that has no answers. 

I'm more concerned about us improving the DL.

the visits thing isn't a huge deal, honestly.  they signed Kearse w/o a visit.  it doesn't really matter.  it looks bad, obviously, but it doesn't mean they aren't doing anything, even though it feels that way.

I think we just got used (and abused) by Bentley and his agent.  No way do we get this close, and then "at the last moment" he skips town and signs in a few minutes.  WE GOT PLAYED!

Like I said, we're going to get a bunch of band-aids. Mawae will get $2-4 million per year, Howard $4 million per year, they'll sign a bunch of other over-the-hill veterans, then try to pass them off as players. The $Big Money$ guy we were supposed to get is gone, there's nobody else out there that would demand that type of deal. Totally inexcusable to have all that damn cap space and not get the deal done.
