Real old, but real good.

I'd much rather have Jackson. He's younger and has a ton of upside as we have seen. He could turn into a great center. In fact, the only guy I would take over Jackson is Bentley. Since it didn't work out there, I don't want anyone else but Jackson. You get a guy like Mawae who is old, still good, but coming off an injury, is on the decline...I'd much rather stick with Jackson.

The BIGSTUD

How about cutting Fraley, signing Mawae and signing Hutchinson.

Jackson is great for depth.

F that.  Get Mawae for a year.  Jackson can be a reserve or fight for the RT spot.

LMAO! Jackson at T? How's that stuff you're smoking? Got any more?  :-D

Jackson was drafted as a tackle and is probably more capable of playing outside than Shawn Andrews.

Looks like Bentley decided to take some less to go back home. The Browns just forked up $70 million on a OC and OG.

Bentley DIDN'T  TAKE LESS--according to PFT.com, the Browns gave him 36M over 6 years with a 12.5M bonus. The Eagles were offering him 5.6M per year in the first three years.

SD_Eagle5

If that's right the Eagles should be ashamed of themselves, all that damn money under the cap and they can't slightly raise their offer to seal the deal?

The BIGSTUD

I hope to god that the Eagles didn't lowball him and lose out due to cheapness. I hope he screwed over the Eagles. I do not want to be saying "what if" all offseason.

They have $32 million to spend.  If not on Bentley, how are they going to use that money?

SunMo

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

One thing I don't get is, one signing falls to shtein, and everyone all of a sudden thinks that the Eagles won't do shtein this offseason.

I'm furious, and everyone has every right to be furious too, but this debacle doesn't have anything to do with other free agents. I've got to think they'll make up for this. I mean they have to don't they? They finished 6-10. They have like 30 million under when TO is cut.

They have no excuses this time. I'd like to think they'll still be aggressive, but if they don't make a splash, it will say all that needs to be said about how Lurie and Banner feel about their fans.

I'd love to believe you, but quality players are visiting elsewhere, and the Eagles are apparently just waiting to see who falls all the way through the cracks before they do anything.  That is the complete opposite of aggressive and all-but guarantees that the team will not get any of the top-end talent.

Depth is great and all, but this team needs starting help at DT, OL (possibly more than one spot), SAM LB, and FB in order to fix some of the mistakes of last season.

This first day speaks volumes.

The BIGSTUD

Well I'm hoping that they have scheduled visits or made some calls no one knows about.

Pretty ridiculous they couldn't figure a way to get that finished up.  Zero reason not to from this vantagepoint.
