Mortenson reported it's 102 million this year and 109 next year, and free agency will probably be pushed back until 12:01 am SATURDAY not friday due to request to Tags.

I'm tired & my clicking finger is swollen...when's the deadline to get under the cap?

The CBA is extended, I think it's moot now.

No, team's still need to be under the new cap by XX:XX. The teams have more room & won't have to cut as many, but there's still a cap to comply with, only now, it's defined.

No, I'm pretty sure there's still a date where teams have to be under the cap... only now they have to be under $102 mil.  There are teams that still need to get under that number.  It's just that with all these delays, extended dealines and everything else... no one knows when the hell that time is.

That's what I thought. I'm just curious who's going to shake loose from other teams.

The BIGSTUD

I thought the date this week was only in danger of the CBA not being extended, and if it was extended the date would be father down the road.

I'll post it when I find out. They may not even know yet.

Last I read, it was set for 11:00 tonight but doubt that'll stick.

Schefter on NFL-N says that free agency will begin in 48-72 hours.

So Saturday or Sunday.

Sweet. :yay

$102mil. A great compromise. Gives the Eagles even more room to work and makes the taterskins sweat just a bit more. Perfect.

Adding on the $10 mill from $94.5 to $105 mill... once we release TO, I think the number ends up around $28 mill.

Right now, with Owens' contract being taken off the books, the Eagles are at 18.7M--and that INCLUDES their RFA tenders. With an extra 7.5M, that's 26.2M--they recoup 7M from LTBEs that won't hit this year's cap now and I believe they recoup another 7M on 30%-rule payouts that now do not have to be made. So, they'll be roughly 40.2M BELOW the cap.

That can't be right.
