Anyone have suggestions for light beers?  The best I've had is Sam Adams Light.  I wouldn't mind some variety though.
Hefeweizen is good but always gives me gas.  It must be a wheat beer.

Quotewhy is it everytime i earl i swear ill never drink again?

The last time I said that I was 19. I just trained my body not to yark no matter how much I drink. Now I only do it every couple of years, or on the off chance that I feel the need to pull the trigger.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I think beer tastes wonderful.  It's on a par with bacon.  I can't imagine living without either of them.

I agree.  Throw in cheese as #3 and I'm set for life.

I had a Schafer in the can at the golf course last week.

The girl in the cart was selling them 2 for a dollar, so my cheap ass buddy bought them.

I'm not a huge light beer fan.  The difference between regular beer and light beer isn't that great, really.  At least not enough to enjoy the beer less.  In general, I don't think Amstel is bad in a pinch.  Sam light isn't bad.

Actually, here's a pretty good article on it:  http://beeradvocate.com/news/stories_read/248/

If I have to drink a light beer, I go with Amstel Light.

Good article.  I have only recently been looking at light beers and get Sam Adams Light.  Miller lite and Bud Lite are only good when you're half in the bag anyway.  I will give Amstel Light a try.  Good reason to back to regular beer.

Yuengling, LaBatt Blue Light, Amstel Light and Kirin Lights are decent.

There are really two categories of beer. Micro and Macro. Macro is made on a large scale, doesn't have as much flavor, but is easy to find and cheaper.

When I'm drinking a Macro I usually go for Bud Select. Really goes down smooth and doesn't tear my stomach apart. After that I like Michelob products. Mich light is pretty good. Amber Bock is another macro that I really like. Reminds me of a great dark beer I had in Germany once. I don't really like Miller products. Coors is OK and I will drink them. If I have to go really cheap I'm all about sum Nat Light. They have some Natty Up with Caffeine in it. Ebil!!

Micro beers are all usually pretty good. Just matters what flavors you like. I like a good Irish stoute but it is hard to find a good micro stoute. They are usually a little to harsh for my taste. Here in St. Louis the local Micros that are very good are Schlafly, O'Fallon,  and Fat Tire. Mmmm Good.

Of course I am a company man so take it all with a grain of salt.

Haha...bumping a nearly 5 year old thread.  You must be drunk.

For the record on those older posts, Amstel is light in name only.

I had "Wing Walker" Amber Ale this past weekend. Anyone else familiar with it? Where the hell have I been?

FREAKING DELICIOUS. It was cheap too. It was $6.99 for the 6-pack. It is brewed in New York if I remember.

Also still a favorite:

Kona Brewing Company's 'Pipeline Porter'. It smells great too...has a slight hint of coffee. Don Ho should know about this one.

Good bump Chuggie, made me go in the kitchen and grab an ice cold Pilsner Urquell. Excellent summer beer.

Related note, life lessons learned under category DUH- if seeing a lady whose ex is a Miller exec and she promises you the few cases/kegs of product still lying around the house/garage (including Pilsner Urquell), don't break up with her until said product safely delivered. Otherwise you'll be back to having to buy your own.
