Crossroids...  you should be taking this issue to a doctor for help if you have a medical condition.

In other words - you don't want to deal with the issue.  You don't want to hear about it.  While I feel that my social anxiety disorder and depression are relavant to this complex issue, I knew that mentioning them would be a risk because people would jump at the chance to blame my experiences on my problems - and dismiss them.  Don't mistake depression or social anxiety disorder for schizoprhenia.  Employee behavior is a problem - and it is not my problem.

Do I take these incidents to heart more than perhaps the average person?  Maybe.  But that doesn't negate the fact that what these employees are doing is grossly unfair to me.

Actually the opposite is true.  If you need help with your medical issues, which are obviously part of the issue or you wouldnt have brought them up, then you need to seek out proffesional advice.  A football message board based on humor and nonsense isnt going to be of much help.  You can vent all you want, but dont get all defensive and fired up when people come back with something you dont want to hear.

Hey - this being a "football fan message board" doesn't prevent you from discussing other "irrelevant" topics!  Isn't that what this "General" folder is supposed to be about - a place where you can discuss topics not relevant to the Eagles or to football?

As to what I'm trying to "accomplish"...well, you have to understand how being subject to constant discriminatory behavior affects a person - any person.  I've written and/or talked  to various managers about the matter and it hasn't really changed a thing.  What good would writing another letter to the company do?  And I find myself suffering a buildup of emotions more and more that I have to deal with it some kind of way (that won't put me in jail).  I wanted to seek confirmation as to what is going on (because managers don't really say anything of substance to you - it's either denial, denial, denial, or some other p.r. garbage), and get some feedback.  Also, I really need to vent.  And many of you may not even be aware that others face this kind of treatment - perhaps part of dealing with the problem for me is to create more awareness.  And from the sheer, increasingly-shameless frequency of this behavior, it is not apparent to me at all that these employees even realize how degraded, hurt, and insulted that they make customers feel by their behavior.  (Although I suspect that some employees may actually enjoy making customers feel this way.)

And if I actually boycott the stores where I am offended - guess what?  Eventually, I would either have to do all my shopping on the internet...or make do without.  It is that bad.

yes, this is true.  but you have some sense of entitlement to discuss this topic here.  why?  you want to vent?  get a therapist.  just don't be surprised when people question why you are discussing a serious subject like this with such vigor on a football message board.
