Thanks for the UHD heads-up. I had no idea they added it...and I'm watching "Rollercoaster" right now. :)

Rollercoaster... of love...  Rollercoaster... Ooh ooh ooh!

The olympics are on UHD this upcoming weekend.  TNT HD was just added Wednesday.  :yay  Slowly but surely more HD is coming out

How much would Sunday Ticket cost if I waited until closer to the season?

Not sure. My deal was I got the Premier Choice package and the Sunday Ticket for $70 a month for 4 months. After the season was over my bill would've been $105 for the premier package but I switched it to the middle tier package Total Choice or some shtein and the HBO added on so I can watch Sopranos.

So I guess I got the premier thing for free and paid $280 for the NFLST.

So you saved $71 by signing up early.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I saved a lot more than that, because I would have had to lease equipment if I signed up after March 1.

ice grillin you

the nfl package is the biggest rip job since laser discs
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

PhillyPhreak54

Yes, but I don't mind getting ripped off for that.

ice grillin you

i shouldnt say its a rip job...but its overrated...one time slot on sunday is completely taken up by whatever your favorite team is...that leaves the other time slot which consists of several games that you dont care about and the one game you do is usually on regular tv anyway...and by chance there are a couple games on you wanna see you still can only watch one game at a time

so in essence youre paying 300 bucks to watch an extra game a week

Not true anymore, especially with the "Superfan" package.  You can watch the "Red Zone" channel, which switches in between active games in progress when something exciting's going on.  Also, they have all the available games in HD, and they have two replay channels, where you can watch every play from a game in less than 30 minutes.  Very cool stuff.

PhillyPhreak54

Thats why I love when the Eagles play at 4pm, 8pm or on MNF. Because then the 1pm timeslot is all about me flipping to find the best game or keeping track of my Operation Slapshot bets.

Plus, I hate when there are only 2 games on here because of TV restrictions. And I hate it when the other game or the late game is a zesty matchup. So the ability to choose is worth my $$$.

ice grillin you

i guess

i just could care less about any game but the eagles..in fact i cant even bring myself to watch a non eagle game....ill check online for fanatsy stats but thats about it

this year i didnt watch a non eagle game until the playoffs

that RedZone channel it's video or just radio feeds?  because the NFL Network has a show called RedZone on during the games, and they do the same thing, they switch to the radio feeds of games where something exciting is happening.

Living out of the area, it's worth it to me just to get all the Eagles' games.

thats where tivo comes in and in effect blows the shtein out of your standard dvr. with the directv tivo(not the normal model you can use anywhere), you can record 2 shows, while watching a 3rd.
