The man. The myth. The legend.

Rome

An absolute bore-fest.

Also - one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen.  A complete embarrassment for the league.  Again.

Congrats to the Stillers and their annoying, genetically curious fanbase.

Well said. The frontrunner effect is almost unbearable out here.

Agreed. Any Steelers fan that thought they actually won that game fair and square is out of their farging mind.

Had to be one of the least entertaining Super Bowls...ever.

Bad Calls Tonight:

1. The Big Ben TD. The ball never crossed the plane until he was already down. Even the replay farged it up

2. The holding call on Warricks punt return

3. The holding call on Stevens' catch that would've put them at the 1. Locklear did not hold Clark Haggans, boys and girls.

4. The call on the Hasselbeck fumble. Replay got it right, but he was clearly touched.

5. The Darrell Jackson catch that should've been a TD. He kicked the pylon. As ESPN pointed out they gave Mike Vick a TD on the exact same type of a play. Jacksons one foot was in and the other kicked the pylon. Should've been a TD.

6. Joey Porter horse collar tackle on Alexander...no call.

7. PI on Darrell Jackson in the end zone. Ticky tack bullshtein call.

8. 15 yard penalty on hasselbeck after he made the tackle on Ike Taylor's iNT return. How the hell can a tackler be called for BLOCKING BELOW THE WAIST WHEN HE IS NOW A DEFENDER?!?!

The Seahawks were mostly jobbed, but they still played crappier overall than the Steelers.

I know Phreak's just pissed, because he lost his bet.

SunMo

the Big Ben play was a touchdown, the ball with cradled in his elbow and his elbow crossed the plane

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

You may be right, but I think anyone who is "100% sure" either way is a buffoon.  It was as close as close gets.

Eaglez

The line judge should have went with his gut on the Rothlesburger dive. He originally singled that he was stopped, which would have been the right call. It looked, by the replay, that his elbow was pushed back before it broke, not to mention that he was down before it crossed

I was angry and drunk last night. The Steelers won on two big plays. Other than that they were lucky to have won. I think Seattle executed better most of the time, but they got ridiculous calls made against them and threw their momentum out of whack.

That being said, would you celebrate any less if the Eagles had won under these circumstances?
The Steelers played just well enough to win.  They capitalized on every bad call.
The Seabags played just poorly enough to lose.  Either of those missed field goals makes it a one score game.  And after all the trash talk, you'd have thought Stevens would catch some of those balls thrown his way.
Anyone but Reid.

SunMo

there weren't any calls, made or unmade, that were so different than any other NFL game

lol.  That call on Hasselbeck for a low block certainly was.
