Why does everyone want Randle El? He's not even the top 5 out of the free agent receivers out there. What is this damn obsession with him? He can help you do gadget plays but as a receiver he's average.

Perhaps.  But our receivers rank somewhere between below average and sucktacular.

He's automatically better than Donovan now. even though he was 9/21 with 2 picks he will be the guy the haters around here will champion as the guy "we wish the Eagles had instead of that bum".

Yeah, well that was gonna happen anyway.  The morons were gonna be screaming for Hasselbeckhas the Hawks won, if not Roethlisberger.  :boo

Unfortunatley Randle El is in the top 5 of the UFA WRs.

The market is weaker than Sarge trying to retain himself from teabagging someone.

I agree.  When is the last time AR ran any trick plays anyway?  2003 Freddie to Westbrook?

On top of Randle El being average he's going to get a big deal. He is definitely not worth what he's going to be paid. Not even close IMO.

I've said before the guy I want is Moulds, but if he isn't cut, then give me Wayne over Randle El and I don't even need to think about it for half of a second.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I think most would agree.  But Moulds being cut is still iffy and it looks like the Colts are going to put the tag on Wayne.   The Eagles can only pursue who's available.  Now if they can work a trade with Buffalo to get Moulds..........

What can I say?  I have no discipline.  I see an open mouth and somehow my sack just magically ends up inside it.  It's kind of weird actually.

Handoff left = trick play.

You think they'd choose to keep Wayne over Edge? I know those are the reports coming out, but it doesn't make much sense to me. They pick 30th overall and they don't have a backup who can step in even close to the level of Edge.

I'm assuming they can only afford to keep one.

I think that money's an obvious factor in keeping Wayne over Edge but I think it also comes down to the system.  The Colts are a pass oriented team and runningbacks are easier to replace than receivers.

PhillyPhreak54

Wayne will stay since Marv is getting old.

RBs can be found anywhere. Rhodes is a decent backup and they can get Maroney or someone like that if they want to in round 1.

Impossible.

The refs don't fix games for anyone but taterskins opponents.

I think that was worst played/officiated SB I've ever seen.

Darrell Jackson TD should have stood.  Bad call on the offensive PI.

The Roethlesburger td was a bad call imo but at the same time a good call by the head ref not to overturn it as I don't think there was enough evidence on the replay to do so.

Seattle shot themselves in the foot with too many stupid mistakes.  There was a false start call on Alexander and they were doing a close up shot of Alexander when he flinched.  RB's should not get false starts called against them.  Ever.  Especially the league MVP.

Roethlisburger played like it was his first NFL game.  Actually, I think he played better in his first game.  He looked lost most of the game sans a couple of plays.

Holmgren manages the final 2 minutes of the half/game like Reid.  Or is it vice versa?

Boring game, boring halftime show, boring commercials.

I tried to stay objective, but the play that did it for me was after the phantom holding call that called back Stevens' catch at the one. The final straw for me was when they called Hasselbeck for an illegal block below the waist on the INT return. I have never, ever seen a player trying to tackle someone from the opposing team called for an illegal block. Hint to the refs: A player doesn't generally try to block for a player from the other team.

The Seahawks didn't execute a couple of times when they needed to, but any time they gained some momentum they had it snatched away, and not necessarily by the Steelers.  This was by far the most crappily officiated Super Bowl I have witnessed, and I've seen all but a couple of them.

As for the rest, Aretha should never sing again. Whether you liked her or not, she used to have a voice. Not now. The Rolling Stones? I've always liked them. Always. They sounded like crap and whatever they were paid, it was too much. Keith Richards needs to officially return his face to the alligator he skinned for it.

Congrats to Bettis. Screw the rest of 'em.
