Unprecedented stupidity. I almost cannot believe the level of ignorance there.

Seriously.

Do they honestly think that Gregggggggggggggggggggg Williams tells his guys that "Hey, yo, listen up. We're gonna blitz but try not to make it too sneaky. Telegraph them. Show 'em what you've got so Brady can identify them in pre-snap reads."

taterskins cut deal with... Tom Cruise?

QuoteTom Cruise has cut a deal with a group that includes the owner of the Washington taterskins to finance the overhead costs of his film production company, sources close to the negotiations said today.

taterskins owner Daniel M. Snyder, chairman of Six Flags Inc., is said to be a leading investor in an agreement that would give Cruise less than $3 million annually to finance staff and office expenses. In exchange, Snyder and the others will have the ability to finance movies developed by Cruise and his producing partner, Paula Wagner.

MadMarchHare

As big a dipshtein as Snyder is at owning a football team, the guy is a savvy businessman.  He'll make stupid money funding Cruise films.

Earlier I read the ES thread on the Stallworth trade, and I was pleasantly surprised with the relative level of non-homerism.  There were only a handful of truly ridiculous responses.  Well done, skins fans.

That said, I haven't checked it since 6pm or so.

I just got back from my early evening beat off session over there and the ES.com fluffers have now turned the trade thread into a "Why Lelie is better than Stallworth" rant, in order to distract the sheep from the fact that it was a good move.

Stallworth > Lloyd

Tell 'em to choke that one down, bro.

Drunkmasterflex

I went over and read some of what they were posting at first it was unbias and most thought it was a good pickup.  Then that JRockster douche, starting going on his rant of how McNabb isn't really all that much better than Aaron Brooks.  He also was saying how the Eagles fans blasted them for getting Randle-El and Lloyd, but they were definately better moves than getting Stallworth.  They gave up a third for Lloyd and paid quite a bit to get Randle-El.  The Eagles basically gave up nothing unless they sign him to an extension.

Brunell. Hall of fame discussion. On ES.

QuoteSo I'm filled to the brim with the preseason-jump off the cliff-the end is coming threads more than len pastabelly at an all you can eat buffet so heres something that I think is different (search function won't load so I can't use it).

While some will feel the need to bash and provide absolutely no thought to this topic i'm just throwing it out there as something different.

I was looking at Brunell's numbers and thinking about what he has done over the years (IMO Brunell, Cunningham, and S. Young helped revolutionize the running QB) If he wins a title (or two) does that put him in the HOF conversations at all?

I think he might be considered but he has to win a title or two for that to happen.

I don't care what insults, smiley face gestures, or rants are typed, but hopefully we can have some decent discussion.

Thoughts?

PoopyfaceMcGee

Well, sure... if he wins "a title or two"... which has no chance in hell (or on Earth) of happening.

General_Failure

Silly Skinsfan. How could he possibly win a title or two when they have the next great QB on the bench? He's obviously going to start soon. You can't leave someone that talented off the field.

Yeah, Mark Brunell is every bit as good as Randall Cunningham and even Steve Young.  Definitely.
