Duckett--last 5 games of 2005--43 yards on 39 carries.

In all fairness to Duckett though, he stopped the wipe the football off everytime Vick handed it to him.

Now that's some funny shtein, Sassy.

Jason LaCanfora's (WT writer) blog on the Duckett trade:

Quote3) I can't imagine Ladell or Rock is going to be pleased with this, for what it's worth, and I wonder how Mike Sellers will feel, too. I found out about the trade around 8:30 last night when I happened to be in mid-conversation with an agent for one of the running backs or fullbacks on the roster. The agent's phone beeped, it was his client from the taterskins' backfield calling in, and this player was fuming, damn near irate, after just being told by a team official that Duckett was coming here. That's how I got the story, with other details coming in throughout the night. Sellers gave the Skins a Pro Bowl season last year, was set for a lot of short-yardage and goal line work, and that's Duckett's specialty. Rock is a stud on special teams, but that might not be enough to stick around on the final 53-man roster, and Nemo Broughton is a goner, like so many other recent draft picks ( another reason I can see why the team is so willing to part with future draft picks to make trades).

ES is buzzing with speculation as to who the pissed off player is. Most think Ladell Betts...

anyways, here is Bubba9497 (Art's second in command on the dickbag chart) take on it:

QuoteGibbs will smooth over any hurt feelings, I honestly doubt it will change anything for Betts, or Rock. Maybe Sellers will get less carries than he hoped, but he has had only 1 carry in 2 years and almost fumbled that one so it can't be a huge surprise that the Skins looked for a short yardage back.

don't forget which paper the writer writes for..... a happy situation isn't as juicy as hinting a major player is unhappy, and there is dissension in the ranks

Oy vey.

ES is nearly as nauseating with the positivity as the EMB is with the negativity.

I've gotten away from arguing on the internet, as I don't have the commitment, time, energy nor desire to keep up a meaningless argument over unproveable points of view. I wish I cared enough to though, after reading the utter bullshtein that has been permeating the Skins forums:

You've been an enabler recently. I hardly know your posts.  :'(

Again - I think Duckett is a great complement to Portis... I just wonder how Betts and/or Cartwright fell so far out of favor.  Betts seems to run all over the Eagles, and I'd scoop him up with teh quickness if they cut him.

General_Failure

I've heard that they've stopped letting the coaching angel touch them before practice. And before games. Before they get dressed after whirlpool therapy. In bed. At the movies...

So, if Washington has ab ad year and loses more then Denver, Denver and Washington swap picks? :-D

Okay, if the Eagles don't win the Super Bowl, I'm officially rooting for the taterskins to finish with the worst record in the league and Denver to win it all. :-D

Why are the taterskins and thier fans so stupid.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Oh, my buddy's skins fan friend told him the following tidbit of info today:

"Your D might be able to stop Portis.  They might be able to stop Duckett.  But they can't stop them both!"

I guess Gibbs and Saunders have been working on a play where they each get a ball and run up the field.

Feva

Gibbs asked the NFL to allow some of his players to score even without the ball.  Since the NFL knows it owes every penny its ever made to Coach Gibbs, it happily obliged.

That's all part of their plan to get their QB of the future on the field while keeping Brunell out there to tutor him. Pure genius.

True.  Let's not forget he's the only coach to rest his starters and play a lot of backups in the pre-season.

Stop insulting him.  He's no less than 47 steps ahead.
