The Associated Press reports Washington taterskins head coach Joe Gibbs is upset with the team's slow start this preseason. "We need to take a serious look at all this. ... I haven't done my job. ... It was all the way across the board. When we show up and do stuff like that at home, I take it real serious," said Gibbs. After reviewing tape of the game Sunday, Aug. 20, Gibbs added, " Special teams -- very poor showing. We gave up a lot of yards rushing. ... Our third downs were 3-for-11, very poor. ... I thought we would get a great effort playing extremely hard coming home, and we play a game like that. It does a number of things to you. You get upset about it."

See there... this is a classic example of what makes Mr. Gibbs such a great man.  When the team is not giving the effort and results that such a wonderful man like Coach Gibbs deserves to see... he lets his team know that he's not happy about it!  Any other coach would simply remain quiet and silently hope that his team improves.  Not Coach Gibbs, no sir!  He shoots straight from the hip... and takes no prisoners.  He says to his team "Hey, let's go out and score some points with the 1st team offense for a change" and you can bet your sweet bottom that they'll go out and get at least a field goal next time out, because when a man with the pedigree of Coach Gibbs speaks... things happen... and they happen fast!

Worry not, Skins fans.  Coach Gibbs is not happy with the way the team plays, so all is well. [/Gibbs knob-slobber]
