Predictions:On your team, who will make the HoF?



I'm a die hard Skins fan, so it hurts me to think about the talent we have let go. I beleive that Champ Bailey will make the HoF. The rest of the guys, A.Pierce, Smoot, and Lavar, will have a hard time getting in. I don't feel like they match up very well with their contemporaries, but they have the talent to make it to the HoF. With that said here are the guys I think will make the hall on the taterskins current staff:

1)Marcus Washington(he won't go on the first or second ballot, but if the writers don't vote him in, the players will.

2)Clinton Portis(Emmit Smith had only 3 years of rushing for 1500, or more yards over a 15 year career. CP has 3 years of 1,500 yards or better, and he's entering into his fifth year as a pro.)

3) Chris Samuel, Randy Thomas, and Jon Jansen.

On the bubble:

1)Marc Brunell(has a 84.9 QB rating, and has thrown for over 30,000 yards. He needs a ring to solidify his induction to Canton IMO.)

2) Shawn Springs(The enigma. Has over 30 int's in his career. I don't think the writers will vote him in, but the players might.)

With promise:

1) Sean Taylor (The man commands respect, and he might be the single reason Safety's are being considered in the top of the draft. 6'2 230 and runs a 4.3. And he delivers hits with the suddlety of a sledge hammer, and covers like a cb. Check out these #'s 120 tackles, 2 sacks, and 6 ints. Nobody even comes close over their first two years at FS.)

2) C. Griffin(Once again I don't know if the writers will vote him in, but I think the players from his era will.)

This took no time to dig up, it was the first thread titled "Mr. Snyder:"

I relentlessly read the board, just to check out what is gong on with my favorite team (Washington taterskins). Over the Snyder years, Media, journalists, print media, and Board members, anyone who has a voice on TV and/or newspapers, are always taking personal shots at him. In my opinion he is a great owner, he always gets the Washington taterskins the player that they need, however, he hasn't done well on the coaches until recently, but just like anything else he had to learn to be a NFL Owner!
My point is this, I feel the narrow-mindedness Mr. Snyder gets is because of anti-Semitism and for you members that don't know what that means here it is! (Anti-Semitism is hostility toward or prejudice against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group, which can range from individual hatred to institutionalized, violent persecution). Tell me what other owner in the NFL, gets the treatment that Snyder gets, and I hate to turn this into anything else but football, however this is something that I feel is a deliberate bias toward Dan Snyder.
My intent is to garner communication on this subject matter and not to affront anyone; I know this is a tough subject on a football message board; however I have been waiting for just the right moment to broach this subject. Also a prevailing thought was this is retaliation toward him, because of his refusal to even consider changing the name of the Washington taterskins.
We all know that "taterskin" is a controversial term for Native Americans and one of the color metaphors for race used in North America throughout history. However, as with any discriminatory term, the perceived negativity will always be down-played by those whom the term doesn't put down or pigeonhole. One person's lighthearted 'term of affection' is another person's racial slur. Washington taterskins team's owner George Preston Marshall who was a controversial figure, refused to allow black players onto his team until 1962. Mr. Marshall chose the name "taterskins" to honor the team's coach, William "Lone Star" Dietz, whose mother was Sioux.
Enough with the history, again even in the circles of professional Sports, bigotry can surface. I am only offering my opinion of a subject that I know people might have thought the same thing, but did not broach the subject because of the implication that comes with the claim. In my opinion I do not find the word taterskin discriminatory, however I understand how a group of people can. I do find the treatment of Mr. Snyder blatant, transparent, and bias. I will fall on the term "perception becomes reality" just think about what I am saying, and go outside of your comfort zone, take a step back, and think of his treatment throughout his tenure!
This is the Media Vs. Dan Snyder, and I am only interested in intellectual feed back from other board member, If you feel that your comments are going to be ignorant please don't reply. I am working on a paper for school, so this subject is very important to me. Thanks for letting me give my opinion!!
