Yeah, but Gibbs is old and one bad season away from re-focusing on race cars.

This is not the same Gibbs from the 80's and early 90's.
But his managerial style is the same.  He did the same with his race teams.  I can't see it changing.
He does look healthier than his first go around.  He looked tired a few times last year, but no more than a lot of head coaches.  If you remember when he left, he was bloated and tired all the time.  He doesn't look like that.
Hell, Vermeil is 4 years older, and he's just getting out.

I'm not sure why you all think this will happen.  It's never happened with Gibbs before.

I don't think it will be a problem.  Gibbs - Saunders won't be anything like Reid - Childress.  Saunders will have autonomy, but he won't have final say.  At least that's how Gibbs did it everywhere else.

can't have it both ways, which is it?

Fine.
Limited autonomy is a phrase thrown around.
You know what I meant.

QuoteNow that Lavar is gone and thank god this can finaly all come to an end.. He was our friend and we all wanted him here but now that he's crossed to enemy lines...he's good as dirt to us...

But here is the question to my post.... Does anyone think the skins should make a trade to move up into this years draft and go after A.J Hawk.. This kid is a stud and he would help out our Defense tremendously... What do you guys think?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Nehemiah Broughton, Mark Brunell and a 6th round pick to trade up!

as much as i hate the skins and portis, i listened to an interview with him last week on a dc morning sports show (sports junkies) and it was funny as shtein.  he started out saying that he would only talk x-rated.  you can hear it here if you're interested.

So while the other 31 teams are stressing this week and pouring over draft boards and other draft related stuff, what is going on at taterskins Park?

a. Nothing. They are all on vacation. Draft? What's that?

b. The great talent evaluators are hard at work to find some hidden gems with their few picks.

c. King Joe has eliminated all positions from his draft board except for tight ends and fullbacks.

d. Art is hard at work drilling peepholes into the players showers and coaches locker rooms.

They'll probably just use Kiper's big board to make their picks.  Much easier that way.

I'm too lazy to look, but there was an article way back about the Skins hosting something like 75 players from local schools trying to find a "gem" for them to take with what little they had pickwise. That should work really well for them.

taterskins traded up to 35 to take Rocky McIntosh. He isnt worth that pick, and probably gave up MORE picks in the process. Do they even have any picks left?

They gave up they're 2006 second rounder... their 6th rounder in 2006 and their 2nd rounder in 2007 for Rocky farging McIntosh!
