QuoteBig-Back Alert: Sources in Atlanta say the Falcons will listen to trade offers for double-wide running back T.J. Duckett. The 6-foot, 250-pound Duckett played poorly this season. He rushed for just 43 yards on 38 carries in the final five games.

Yes, please.  I'd trade away a 2nd rounder for him.

If he'd be OK with playing some fullback, yes.  If not, no.

Feva

I'd throw a 3rd at the Falcons for him.

Westbrook and Duckett would be a formidable rushing combo.

Sure, but he'd be a lot better with someone not named Josh Perry as the fullback.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

To get someone of similar worth (and gerth) in the draft would cost more than a 3rd.  Go for it.
Anyone but Reid.

i agree with studdering rjs up there.

Doesn't duckett need to lose weight? Isn't he something like 240 to 260?

He wasn't as eefective this year, but I read a stat line from 2004 that said that he didn't register a single rush for negative yards. Not one. That's an "rjs has been screaming for a back who can do exactly this" stat if I've ever seen one.

SunMo

does it really matter if they have him?  they'll throw on 3rd and 2 anyway.  unless you believe that AR doesn't run the ball on short yardage situations because he doesn't have the appropriate back, not the other way around.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

rjs246

I don't know if AR is capable of learning from his mistakes or adapting his play calling. So far he hasn't shown it, but a back with the size and talent of a TJ Duckett would help this offense and if he doesn't see that he's a farging moron.
