Ok Everyone, Make Your Pick - Where Will TO Go?

Since Owens will soon be an ex-Eagle, whether by trade or by getting released and then signed by another team, predict where #81 will be playing in 2006. Put it on the record and we'll see who is right.

I think it is safe to say that he will not be here in 2006 so eliminate the Eagles. Also cross Baltimore, Minnesota (Childress) and San Francisco of your lists. So 28 of the 32 teams could be vying for his services.

My possible destinations for TO are (in no exact order);

1. New York Jets - He's been linked to NY for awhile now. Bradway needs a splash to pacify the fans and TO could be his guy to help do that.

2. Tampa Bay Bucs - Gruden's comments speak volumes. Galloway is aging and Clayton took a little step back this year. But I think he'll rebound and a TO-Clayton duo would be tough.

3. Denver Broncos - Rod Smith isn't getting younger and Ashley Lelie isn't exactly proving he was worth a #1 pick. Shanahan doesn't mind taking on the troubled guys either (Clarett, anyone?).

4. Kansas City Chiefs - Tony Gonzalez needs some help. Owens would draw coverage away from him. Plus Eddie Kennison and Samie Parker stink. And when TO was linked to the Jets earlier this year one reason was supposedly because of Herm Edwards thinking he can handle him.

5. Miami Dolphina - No real reason other than Drew is already the rep for about half of that roster and is always slumming around the Dolphins complex. Would Saban take a shot on TO? It's possible.

6. San Diego Chargers - AJ Smith has the money and assets to make a move for TO. Keenan McCardell isn't a spring chicken and they really don't have anyone else as a WR there. Reche Caldwell and Eric Parker are complimentary guys. TO + LT + Gates would equal some serious firepower.

7. Dallas Cowboys - Jerry Jones is the kind of guy who would take TO on without any questions asked. But would Bill Parcells take him?

8. Washington taterskins - Daniel Snyder is another kind of guy who would take on TO. But would Joe Gibbs take him?

9. Atlanta Falcons - Arthur Blank said he wouldn't take him. But I wonder if he really meant it. Especially after watching his terrible WRs once again this year.

My prediction is:

TO is a Denver Bronco in 2006. After the Broncos eventually lose in the playoffs, especially if they lose this weekend, they will see him as the guy who can get them over the hump.

I don't care where he goes as long as someone snipes his ass and I get my points in the Ghoulpool.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Not Atlanta.  The receivers there might stink, but who knows with herpes throwing the ball?
Anyone but Reid.

I've said that the Broncos make the most sense from the start.  They say they're not interested, but I still think that's the most likely destination for quite a number of reasons, actually.

If the Eagles trade him, then you can probably scrub every NFC team off that list......or every NFC East team at the very least.

If he's released then it's going to come down to the highest bidder.

In either scenerio I think the Jets, Broncos and Chiefs are the top 3 contenders for him.

I actually see him becoming a Jet. My second option would be Denver, but after the whole Clarett thing, they will probably be a little quieter in the offseason. Here's hoping he has some JR Reed like accident, and fades into obscurity.  :yay

Well, duh, eventually, but I thought we were talking about next year.  So far as I know, LA doesn't have a pro team.
Anyone but Reid.

I will no longer be plotting to cause TO's death as it will negate any possible points in my ghoulpool. I highly encourage others to take up the effort, however.
