Let's not forget the 6 gimmes against the rest of the division the Seahawks get.  This year's Eagles would be in 2nd place over there.  I don't think the Seahawks have it any tougher.  Yeah, the East is so called "improved" and they lost to Washington and like I said earlier should have lost to Dallas and New York.  We're the only ones they looked dominant against.

Last year's Eagles would have been head and shoulders over this division... I'd say 4-2 at absolute worst.

In the end, I think Seattle will end up in the SB... because they're a pretty strong home team.  If they had to go to either New York or Chicago, I'd doubt it a lot more.

I'm comfortable heading into this game because I feel we have the advantage. I also feel comfortable in knowing that the taterskins players and coaches never take any opponent for granted and never overlook the talent each team has.

I think the score will be 31-20 taterskins.
BTW, nice prediction Jake

Thank you. I think it's my frist correct prediction of the year. :)

Late in the game, I was saying out loud "All the Skins need to do is score 14 and hold Philly to 20 and I'll be right!"

Couldn't have been happier. I almost pissed myself when Taylor ran that fumble in for a TD.

If you think any of that really happened, you are the ignorant one.  ::)

I don't know for a fact whether it happened or not because I wasn't there. But if it did, it wouldn't surprise me.

Who knows.  The only reason I thought it was hard to believe is that he said he was so happy over the win he didn't care. :P  I still would have been out for blood if someone put shat on my car.
I didn't see any violence at the game.  I sat in the lower level (not club.  I sat with friends)  No one gave me a problem.  There was one Skins fan I saw in another section who was walking around covered in silly string, and I talked to someone who saw the hat get thrown.  If the soy sauce thing happened that guy is a farging coward.
It seems the Mrs Portis thing did happen.  That's pretty weak, throwing beer on an older woman.  It's farging cowardly.  After the game there was a chant of Mrs.Portis clap clap clapclapclap.  :-D

If the Eagles really wanted to change the image, they could do it.  You could threaten to take away season tickets.
As it is, people like it, so it stays.  If you take your kid there, he's going to hear a lot of language and maybe see some fighting.  Personally, I think it sucks, but it's never stopped me from going to a game, just from taking kids to the game.
My wife and I went up to Pat's to get a steak after the game.  The guy behind the glass (the one with no teeth that's been there for a while) was telling another taterskins fan to go back to Jack funhole Cooke Satdium.  It was said in good fun, but kids are around.  People don't seem to care.  Whatever.  The stereotype will continue until people want it to be changed.

Meh.  I've been to games several times in Philly at the Vet and Linc, as well as GB, FedEx.  I've found if you're willing to take a ribbing and not get heated most of the time it stays good natured.  That being said, mixing late game with disappointing season with division rival could easily get out of hand.
Anyone but Reid.

I didn't see the part where the dude said he was too happy about the win to care about crap on his car. That sounds very unrealistic. I would have been on a head-hunt and pissed to no end no matter whether the SKins win or not.

supposedly the guy involved with Portis' mom is on with WIP now.  per him, he was doing Eagles cheers and stuff in the section.  Portis' family got into his face.  then, this guy tried to go down the steps and they stopped him, knocked his hat off, and flip the beer out of his hand.  he claims that was the beer that hit her, nobody threw one.  he didn't know anything about punching a lady in the nose.  he also said that he has witnesses writing letters to the Eagles, Fox news, and other papers who he claims are reporting it incorrectly.

I just heard that too, guy sounded pretty honest but I'd like to hear the story validated from a witness or two.

yeah, i agree.  the fact that he has witnesses writing letters on his behalf makes me think that there is some truth to his story.
