The Eagles took the great and powerful New York Giants to overtime at home. In fact, the Eagles probably win that game if that Akers FG doesn't take that inexplicable bounce off the crossbar and out. Does that mean that the Giants suck worse than we do?

I don't think you guys give yourselves enough credit. If McNabb doesn't give Roy Williams the biggest gift of the 2005 NFL season, the Eagles win that game over the Cowboys. I know it's a big difference with McNabb in there, but the fact of the matter is that of the 3 NFC East teams, Washington had the best showing in Philadelphia.

As for the Bucs game. The first time we played them, they beat us 36-35 on a 2 point conversion play that to this day I still haven't seen a replay showing Alstott crossing the goal line. So I have no idea why they would blow us out this weekend. I think both teams have a great chance of winning. Also worth noting that Sean Taylor was hurt and didn't play in that game against the Bucs, and whether you like him or not you have to admit that he is playing at extraordinarily high level lately. His presence in the secondary makes a huge difference.

You guys are just bitter.

And Jason Campbell, well you may be right. He may not end up being all that good. Hmmm...when was the last time that Eagles fans were really down on a first round draft choice of a mobile QB....let me see here......I seem to remember the 1999 draft, they had the 2nd overall pick....and they took Donovan McNabb and they booed lustily at what a terrible pick it was.....Good call.... Well you guys were so dead on about McNabb that you must be right about Campbell.....I'll remember that if Bill Walsh isn't available, Eagles fans are the next best source for information on a QB coming out of college....your track record is impeccable.  And your team has done an outstanding job in the first round recently....I mean Freddie Mitchell, Jerome McDougle, Shawn Andrews, it's a who's who of young Pro Bowl players.

HAHA.

Bitter, bitter, bitter.

You guys made the playoffs 5 years in a row. Think about that. 5 freaking years in a row we had to watch you guys in the playoffs while we were at home. Now I get my chance to go to a taterskins playoff game and I am going to enjoy the hell out of it. Just deal with it.

Yaaaawn.  A whole bunch of nothin'.

I'm not bitter at all.  Like you just pointed out, this is the 1st time in 5 years that I've had to look at the playoffs from this side.  Although I'd like the Eagles to be there... the season was essentially over a long time ago and that's been accepted by now.  You're a little late for the bitter talk.  Anyway, with all this talk of "an improved NFC East", the Eagles lost this division more than anybody else winning it... and you didn't even do that.  What's better is that everyone knows this team has the ammo to put themselves right back up there at the top of the NFC in 2006.  Even in our depleted state this year... the only game we were ever out of was the 1st Dallas game.  So if we were competitive in every other game then, what will it be like when we get 9 offensive starters back?  Like I said... tick, tock.

You go ahead and enjoy your week in the playoffs though.  Everything's going right back to normal next season.

Did you SERIOUSLY try to compare Jason Campbell to Donovan McNabb?  The Skins traded away more draft picks and REACHED for a guy at a position that you didn't even need!  :-D  Campbell wasn't even rated as a 1st round talent.

The Eagles on the other hand, had the worst record in the league, kept all their picks and drafted a guy in McNabb who was projected to be a franchise QB.  Also, you can try to lump me in with those morons at the draft if you want... I never booed McNabb.  I guess I can go ahead and assume you wear a dress and a pig snout to every sunday though, huh?

Again... you show that as a Skins fan, you don't know a damn thing about the draft because if you think Shawn Andrews is anything close to a bust, then even now, I'm giving you too much credit.  You're nearly right when you talk about "who's who of probowlers because he's currently a pro-bowl alternate, einstein.  Hell, even McDougle still has a chance to show SOMETHING.  Bottom line is they play on sundays.  It's simply assinine to spend a 1st round pick on a 3rd stringer like you did with Campbell.  But, there you go... when you only HAVE a 1st round pick every couple years, how can anyone expect you to know how to use it.  :-D

So Campbell is a bust because he didn't play this season? So that makes Aaron Rodgers a bust too? And Carson Palmer he was a bust 2 years ago right? Why would  a playoff team throw a rookie QB into the mix when they have a veteran playing well enough to win games? Obviously they wouldnt.

It's funny to me that you consider the moves of my team's front office (which I obviously have no control over) to somehow be a reflection of my personal football IQ.

I threw Andrews in there because he was the only other recent first rounder I could come up with of the top of my head after Mitchell and McDougle, besides Patterson of course who I like.

Go ahead and make fun of the Skins draft picks if you want, but it was our 1st round pick last year that came up with a HUGE game on Sunday and propelled us into the playoffs.

Anyways, why are we talking about the draft? It's playoff time baby!! It's time to get pumped! It's time to get excited! It's do or die time! It's time to make that Super Bowl run! It's time to......oh....wait....my bad.....sorry about that........

I can't wait to hear the moans and groans after the Skins get romped in Tampa. What do think will cause the loss? The refs screwing you? NFL bias against Saint Joe? Maybe it'll be because you are only in the playoffs because the rest of the NFC East wasn't that great once the Eagles were decimated by injury.........oh....wait....my bad.....sorry about that........

farg off. Don't you have a Bucs board you can go troll on?

They can always blame a loss on Eagles fans. I'm sure they could find a way to swing that.

What a farging idiot you are.  Wasn't rated first round by the people you talk to at the laundromat maybe.
Most people who know anything about football had him rated exactly where he went in the first round, and some had him rated the best QB overall.
Gibbs hasn't had many picks to deal with, but Sean Taylor, Carlos Rogers, and trading up for Cooley were all correct.
He saw something in Brunell no one else saw, and traded Coles for the "undersized fragile" Moss.
So your opinion of his ability to judge talent doesn't mean squat.

As for Reid and his eval of talent, McCoy will give proof of his inability to pick a linebacker.
McDougal at 15 sucks ass without being shot, and Freddy Mitchell was a great 25th pick.   :boo

General_Failure

They were so upset over the vicious assault on Clinton's Prom Date that they couldn't focus on the Bucs. Also, Gruden kept making funny faces that made them laugh. He spent time in Philly, so it's Philly's fault. Boooo!

Campbell is an unknown. Brunell is lousy and old. When Campbell starts, hello basement again.

The only shot you dopes have of getting a #1 pick is to trade Ramsey and hope to get a #1 for him.

And I hope Gregggggggggggg Williams goes to Kansas City or somewhere else.

General_Failure

I can't see anyone giving up a first round pick for Ramsey, not without a third round pick or another player involved.

Don't confuse what you want to happen with what will happen.
Campbell is more of an unknown than McCoy.  That would be like predicting McNabb won't heal up right.  No one really knows.
And Brunell might be old, but you have to admit he had a good season.  McMahon is lousy and young.  Brunell is old, but he's getting the job done.  5 straight wins to end the season and get into the playoffs is proof enough.  He looked like crap against Philly but he didn't lose the game.  His accurracy was off d/t the knee.  A win's a win.

welcome back to the playoffs.  since our team went gimpy this year, we'll let the 3 other pathetic teams in the division battle it out.  next year we will be healthy.  and your team can go back to sucking.  good luck against the bears and seahawks!   :-D :-D :-D :flipoff
Chicago and Seattle have a combined record of 22-2 in the conference.  That might scare taterskin fans until they see that the only conference losses of either team came from the skins :-D

im laughing because how pathetic the NFC is this year without us...and the bears and seahwaks being the 1 and 2 teams.  I'm laughing even harder because the skins and giants are not going anywhere.  Take a sip, because thats all your going to get.  Wait til next year...get used to not making the playoffs again for a few years.

Puff, puff, pass.  Seattle couldn't touch the 2004 Eagles.

Come on man... the Eagles blew away the NFC in every game they tried to win last year, including the playoffs.  Dallas was the only team that even came within 10 points of them last year... and half of that game was without ya' boy.

Seattle for most of the year wasn't even the clear-cut best team in the NFC... having close calls against SF, ATL, DAL, NYG, and TEN.  Hell, to tell you the truth... Dallas and the Giants both had them beaten.

We unquestionably dominated the NFC last year leaving no doubt whatsoever about who the best team in the conference was.  Seattle this year, is a good team no doubt, but they took most of the year to establish that they were the NFC's best... and even now, arguments can be made for other teams in the NFC.

the eagles didnt play anyone last year...they played exactly three playoff teams...a bad viking team a worse green bay team and the steelers who thrashed them..granted the seahawks didnt do much better this year but 13-3 is 13-3

i probably should wait and see what seattle does in the playoffs...but if they make the superbowl they are definitely as good...as of now i put them on a level field...subject to change that opinion on the result of the playoffs
