Mahe should be in the witness protection program at this point.

Greg Lewis is a candyass Pinkston clone.

Mike McMahon should be starting for the Las Vegas Crapshooters of the ANAL_FL instead of starting for a professional team who made it to the Super Bowl last year.

The offensive line played ridiculously at the end.  Penalties, farging horseshtein protection that had Shaved-Arms running for his pathetic life... just awful.  I don't give a shtein who is in there.  Either you're a player or you're just stealing money.

The Colts won't lose a game this year.  (This has nothing to do with the Eagles but I went to Jax to see the game and they are the real friggen deal, folks.  Jesus - they're scary.  The shredded a very good Jags defense to pieces today.)

Brown's definately got potential to be a very good receiver in the NFL.  So far, he definately seems to be the best reciever the Eagles have drafted since Arkansas Fred.  Definately better than Pink, Lewis, Mitchell, etc.  But I'm not ready to hand him the #1 spot.

I don't think Reid meant much by saying what he did about Brown.  He's not going to publicly say that Brown's not ready/capable of being "the guy."

But I do see what hunt's saying and why he's skeptical.  I don't think that's the way it's going to play itself out.  I think Reid's realized what this team can be like with a true receiving threat and will try and duplicate that to the best of his ability.

On another note...

Morganti said last Tuesday that "Ryan Moats does not belong in the NFL. Period"

Looks like he'll be eating a little crow tomorrow. I like Al, but he had no basis to make that comment.

i may be the only one that will come out and say it...but i think Brown will be a #1 guy. he's shown a ton of patience, and has good hands for tough catches. maybe not immediately next season, but by the end of next season, i think so.

BTW: Those of you who're trashing Brown can jam it up your asses.  He's not a #1 yet.  Guess what?  No farging shtein.  He's a rookie.  If you can't see that the kid has ability, then you are blind.

whats the deal with Jackson?

also, Clarke must really suck if he loses out to Hicks.

I share your optimism on Brown. I don't think he's ready to be "the guy" next year and thats why I would like to see a guy like Eric Moulds here.

I also would love to see Wilbur be the full time slot guy. He is showing some nice things in his limited opportunities. If he saw 10 passes a game I think he'd put up nice numbers.

I think I am the only Wilbur fan on this planet other than the McMullen family.

hunt

of course he has ability...but do you want to see brown & pinkston as the starters going into next season?
me neither...so cram it up your cramhole, la fleur.

hopefully andy was blowing smoke...but years of hearing him talk like that about thrash & pinkston have scarred me for life.

Didn't catch the word on Jamaal. But it sucks that he got hurt but also it is nothing new with him. He should have a Red Cross tat.

And Hicks got his job back because Reid says starters don't los their jobs to injury. I want to see more of Clarke as well.

i know, but they should lose their job to sucky play, which Hicks has had all year.

hunt

moulds would be a good fit, phreak....he has a couple years left so that would give brown time to develop.

No disagreement here. Maybe next week. If not then we'll have to wait until Adrien beats him out at Lehigh next year.

Wilbur has finally shown some signs of life this year.  I'm not putting much stock in it until I see him produce consistantly, but so far this year has been a big step for him.  At the very least I think he's earned the right not to get released before training camp.

Thats why I think he'd fit well here. He won't be a young and up&comer like Wayne who'll demand a wad o' cash. He'd be a stable veteran presence for Donovan and who is a proven #1. He also was heavily recruited by the Eagles a few years ago so you know they dig him.

Give him 2-3 years here and then Reggie is ready to be "the guy". In the meantime he learns a lot and is a steady #2.
