Laying it off on the coaches shoulders is a cop out.

The players are responsible for what happens between the sidelines, not the coaches.

why does it have to one or the other?

i think it was a total collapse between JJ, Lito, Donovan, and Reid

not really. it is not obvious. if brown runs a hitch, or a comeback, he would have been settled right in front of both of those defenders...so again...someone misread the play. but we will never know who it actually was.

stop it, you're wrong.  it is obvious what happened, maybe not for you, but for people who understand what's going on.

i am not wrong. and at the same time neither are you...

it's opinion and speculation, unless you were on the sideline hearing the playcall.

i don't need to hear the playcall, i saw the play and understand what happened.  something, by the way, that has been confirmed by the coach.  Reggie Brown ran the right route, so that leaves only one other person to farg up the play.  Whoever could that be???

what are you talking about?  he said that Reggie Brown ran the right route.  if they both farged up, he wouldn't have said that.  stop with your losing arugement, you are starting to sound silly.

Parry?

Seriously, you're wasting your time.  It's clear the INT is on McNabb for failing to read the play, and before that on Reid for calling a pass [to the flat no less!!] on 2nd down.  Wingnut is obstinate in his opinion, regardless how mistaken it is, so just let him have it.   Let's move on to bickering about something new.

Reggie Brown stank.

QuoteReid for calling a pass [to the flat no less!!]

Reid didn't call a pass into the flat; only McNabb thought about throwing it there.

He may've been dialing up the long ball to Brown.
More Mahe please.

that's for sure, how many drops did he have?  i'm not even talking about that last play, that was a tough catch and the defender made a nice play.

I'm not going to bicker with you about whether the hitch was called or not.  Point is, passing at all was a bad call, and a bad read.

Passing is a bad call if you're playing not to lose.

But Reid has demonstrated throughout his tenure that he's an aggressive playcaller.

This is a call Jimmy Johnson -- the perpetually tan one -- would make.  He puts the ball into his players' hands and expects them to deliver.

Unfortunately, ours didn't.
More Mahe please.

Passing wasn't a bad option there, Dio.  If the play had worked, everyone would be praising Reid for his daring play calling.

Since it didn't work, everyone is hammering him for taking a risk.

Bottom line... it blew up in their faces.  So, they move on and concentrate on the Vadges and hope like hell that the season can still be salvaged.

i know, for me, as soon as Donovan gave that half-ass playfake, i started to say, "What the f..." and then finished that statement after RW trotted into the endzone.

i think you run the ball on 2nd down and see how many yards you need for 3rd down before you decide either way.

my opinon on the 2nd down play may have been different if they were not able to run the ball all game, but they were, they were chewing Dallas up.  the 1st down play to Gordon wasn't even to the side where they had the most success, the right side.  i would've let Westbrook go off-tackle on the right side on 2nd down and see what that got you.

Somebody farging kill me now.

I'm not even going to trip on the dumbass decision to throw the ball nor am I going to trip on the fact that Donovan McNabb made a horrendous play.

I'm going to trip on:

1. The defense allowing the Cowboys to waltz down the motherfarging field in 40 goddamn seconds.

2. Jose Cortez farging blows. Good field position, icehole. Thanks.

3. The fact that the Birds had 1st and goal in the 4th quarter and could not punch it in the end-zone killed us!! It was 17-7. A TD there and you are at 24-7.

Great game by the Birds up until the 4:00 mark in the 4th quarter.

I am angry.
