It should be noted that the Patriots are truly "America's Team".

Two of my FAVORITE attacks on Cowboys and their fans.  Front running, and the validity of their nickname America's Team.

First off it should be made clear that its stuff like this that makes this team so great.  The fact that even after an extremely sub-par 5 year span that the hatred runs so deep.  I embrace my team being hated, as oppose to the indifference the rest of the NFL feels towards Philly.  Nobody will give a damn about your team in a year or two.  But like Peter King said in the opening of his Dallas Training Camp Preview Column  "When in doubt, write about the Cowboys.  Because everyone has an opinion."  Love them or hate them.  That is what makes them the best.

I am a 22 year old living in NJ who has been a Cowboy fan since I understood football.  The 1989 season is the first I remember.  My father had been a Cowboys fan since the team began in 1960.  I asked him why this team was so bad and kept loosing.  He told me, "Dont worry, they will be back.  Its destiny."  And sure enough he was right as they went on to become the most dominant team of the decade.  Its knowing that fact that has made these past few years go by.  Sure it was tough losing.  But its knowing that bit about destiny that makes a true Cowboy fan.  So as for me sporting a Peyton Manning avatar, no chance.  I will probably stick with this one of Roger and Landry.

Now for the attack on the nickname.  Thats just silly man.  Was the NFL films special titled America's Team about the Patriots?  Its just a fact.  Tex Schramm was a genius and made the image of the Cowboys what it is today.  He understood what Cheerleaders could do for a team.  He made the deal about playing every Thanksgiving day when nobody else wanted it.  Now the owners want the league to go back on the deal Rozelle gave Schramm.  Not a chance.  America's Team will always play on Turkey Day.  Tradition.

And if that isnt enough, just do a google search for America's Team.  Also try one for Big Blue, for any Giants fans here.  That one links to IBM so looks like they are out of luck lol.

Can't wait to see the childish attacks this post gets, and what creative things people type in the quote window.  Like the one guy in the other thread said "I Like Lamp".

Hopefully this ends all the nonsense and these posts can return to talking about what happens on the field when the Cowboys win big on Monday night.

I guarantee you that there are more Green Bay Packers fans in the United States than Cowpukes fans.
When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

I can't stand bandwagoners.

I'm loyal silver and blue.  Been a Cowboy fan since 72 watched my first Super Bowl at 7 years old been a fan since even through the bad times.

My local bar has these clowns in Eagles and Patriot Jerseys, these same clowns have Rams and Packers jerseys in their closets from years back, I remember them as Ram and Packer fans.  No sense of loylaty.  There is one Eagle fan at my bar thats loyal even now and we will probably be sitting together for MNF.  We have a drinking game.  You see these Eagle fans jumping ship when you guys are down.  Bunch of weasels.  My wedding was silver and blue, couldn't believe my wife went for it.  My dogs name is Dallas he hides game days when Im screaming F'ing Dallas and such.  Every year my Christmas tree is silver and blue.

It's good to be loyal.

You won't see me mouthing off cause we have sucked for a long time, until we prove something the Eagles should be respected for the champions they are.

Nothing meant as a suck up, besides I don't hate you guys, I hate the Foreskins.  You guys should feel free to stop by Cowboysguide.com it's a pretty informative bunch.

As for JJ on the bench we will find out come out Monday night.

I would hardly use internet message boards as a guideline for gauging the intelligence or loyalty of the fans of any professional sports team. When I lived in NJ, I had many acquaintances who were Eagles fans, and we had some fun with each other, but could always be objective.

You do have a higher percentage of pot stirrers on the internet. It's easy to stir things up or be condescending when you can just leave and go back to your domain and never show your "face" again, or just pop in for a minute or two, say something instigative or derogatory and leave.

Fans of other teams come to Cowboys' boards and do the same things, and the reaction is basically the same. Should anyone be surprised at that? Personally I visit other teams' boards for a different perspective. I don't expect to visit boards like this one and not see threads like "Farg Dallas", or the "Cowboys or taterskins or Packers Suck(Which they do ;))". You see the same things on Cowboys boards, and occasionally you get the rival fan that comes in and stirs the pot. Who cares? I don't. Nothing that anyone says on a message board will ever cause me to lose my composure and go off on some silly rant. Every team has ups and downs over the years. Some have longer periods of them, but the NFL is fairly cyclical, especially in the era we're in now.

Just my perspective.

WTF dude?  You're not supposed to use reason and logic when you post.  It makes it hard to hate you for being a Cowboys fan.

Ugh, I complimented one of them.  Next thing you know I'll be dating one or something.  :puke

Damn, I feel so icky now.  ;)

I thought you embraced the fact that everyone loves them and jumps on the bandwagon.

Now I know you're lying.  Neither people from Jersey nor Cowboys fans have the intellect to comprehend football..........especially Cowboys fans from Jersey.  :P

QuoteBlah blah blah.  This is why I'm a Cowturds fan.  Blah blah blah.  I like paint chips.

No one becomes a fan of a team when they go 1-15.  Sorry, they just don't.  You may have suffered through that year watching the games with your old man but I seriously doubt you started having any passionate feelings about them for at least 3 years.......say around the 1992 season.

I agree.  You ass clowns need to farging grow up.  :paranoid

Cowboys fans really are delusional aren't they?  You're going to get farged with from now until eternity.  It's the law of nature.  :)

I think he was referring to Latin America, bro.

I could be wrong, however.

Have you noticed how completely contradictory their opinions are regarding their team, the Eagles, and generally about everything else they discuss here?  Maybe the fans that have moseyed over here this week are a poor sampling of Cowboys fans in general.   Then again, having met my fair share of people who hail from the Dallas area, I can't say I'd be surprised if they weren't.

Look, I know that taterskins fans are typically delusional about the quality of their team, and Giants fans are usually insufferably arrogant about their franchise no matter their record, but I simply cannot believe how intellectually stunted Cowboys fans are.

It seems as though every one of the posters who've come here this week are complete dolts whose level of discourse appears to be stuck at the level of "E-gals Suck - hee hee hee!" or "I know you are, but what am I."

Please, please, please... please tell me that Cowboys fans as a whole aren't the most lame-brained bunch of cow-tipping, sibling-fornicating, tabacky-chawin', trailer-inhabiting idiots that the small sampling of fans that have vistited us this week seem to be.

Jerome, I debunked your punk ass and you tried to combat that with a decent argument that was based on opinion rather than fact.  I have seen nothing from the faithful here that represents and intelligent argument why Philly would win.  Nothing.  Please Jerome, tell me I dont bring actual data to the table.  I came board and took a lot of shots from the arrogant here prior to the ass whopping your team received.  After the fact I had to get my laughs in.  Some took it well, including yourself, others resorted back to their delusional state.  Now, with your team in disarray and losing to Washington and Dallas rested off a bye and not TO,please tell me what Philly is going to do?? ::)

Rome

Punk ass?

:-D

I love it when internet tough guys get all angry and shtein over being mocked for their obvious shortcomings.

You didn't de-bunk a single thing I wrote, you idiot.  I said the Eagles have a better secondary than the fricken Cowflops.  Clearly, this is so.

I also said that McNabb is a better quarterback than Drew Bledsoe.  What part of this statement is inaccurate?

Face it, the Cowboys have been lucky all year.  They caught the Eagles just before the bye week and got luckier than a two-dollar hooker at a convention of SMU Alumni.

They're going to lose, period.

But even if the Eagles did lose on Monday.  The fact remains that you're a Cowboys fan.  You're going to be mocked simply for that reason.  Cowboys fans are mocked by fans of every professional football team out there, dude.  I hope I'm not the first one to enlighten you to this well-known fact, but it's true.  We all point and laugh at you and the cute little blue and white pajamas your team calls a uniform; we snicker at the dimed-out coke-whore sluts you call Cowboys cheerleaders; we erupt in laughter every time that Joan Rivers-wannabe owner of yours struts his ass out onto the field like some 2-bit tin horn general of a banana republic; and finally, we literally laugh ourselves into a near convulsive state every time you post your little photos of that idiotic blue star you call an insignia.

Your team has been the absolute laughingstock of the league for most of the past 10 years.  Your team has been the personal rag-doll canine chew toy of the Philadelphia Eagles for nearly as long, and worst of all, you can't or won't admit to that.

Whatever, though.  We'll continue laughing hysterically at you and the pathetic, misbegotten franchise you cheer for because that's what Eagles fans do.

:-D

And by the way, you dont have to tag an actual question with the word "Question".  You can simply use one of these "?".   :-D

Look at the little Cowboys fan in the rear crying in blue because they won't let her take a swing.

Isn't that sad?

See, I wouldn't expect some idiot to know that while drooling over his favorite cheerleader that he owes it to the Dallas Cowboys!  That's right there slick, one Tex Schramm (former Cowboys GM) decided that football had become more than sports and was full on entertainment!  So he tried models on the sideline that didn't stand the 100 degree heat on the sideline very well and decided to hire dancers.  The 1972-73 season kicked off with the first ever Cheerleaders that were beautiful, in flashy uniforms and jazz dancing on the sidelines...... So next time your drooling over some chick you have no shot at getting, thank 'ol Tex!

Going back to 1960, we still have a 52-40 lead in the series with the..... if we're the laughing stock and we still own you, what does that make you?  I'll let you come up with your own classy tag line there!  While we are on the laughing stock of the NFL, I'll go over a few more things that Philly doesn't have besides 5 Lombardi's......

Where to start...... how about most seasons participating in postseason games.  #1 with 27 seasons the Dallas Cowboys!
most consecutive seasons participating in postseason games.  #1 with 9, and tied for second with 8!
most games in the postseason.  You wanna take a guess?  #1 with 54 games is the Dallas Cowboys!
most games won in the postseason.  #1 with 32 is the Dallas Cowboys!
most consecutive games won in the postseason.  tied for #2 at 7 is the Dallas Cowboys!

Yeah, I'm laughing at us too.....

WEST is GOD

1. They aren't knowledgable, and know very little about football.

2. They aren't very smart.

3. Being from a white collar town like Dallas rather than a blue collar town like Philly, they are used to being pushed around.

4. The cowboy fans born in Philly had to be weak to become a cowboys fan in the first place so getting pushed around is nothing surprising.

5. There are no die-hard fans, cowboys fans are wine sipping nancy boys, and stop going to games when the team is losing. In other words they don't have the passion to support the team as much as Eagles fans.
