Drew screwed the pooch with TO.  However, for most of his clientele, he's been quite successful at either getting them money or getting them out to somewhere who will pay.  It's not an accident he has 90+ clients.

I love the fact that Sheldon Brown stepped up yesterday.

Telling it like it is and establishing himself as a vocal presence in the locker room is what a leader does.  He's spot-on about both Owens and Rosenhaus too.

As for Rosenhaus being a great agent, I don't know if I'm going to agree with that.  Is he great at self-promotion?  Yes.  Is he great at getting his clients solid contracts?  So far, he has been.  But what makes a truly great agent is the ability to be able to work both sides of the negotiating table and make it appear as if he's not a threat to management while still being able to appear to be fighting like hell for his client.

Sure, he looks like he's willing to go through the fires of hell for T.O. but his ridiculous outbursts against Eagles management were terribly damaging to his credibility with management in the NFL side of the equation.  Teams aren't going to forget his antics of the other day.  Not by a long shot.

Whatever, though.  The guy represents 90 players.  He gets them their money.  The thing is, there are a ton of other agents who can accomplish the same thing without all the hoopla and bad publicity and something tells me that sooner or later, the players will begin to see through the hype and realize that pissing their prospective or current employers off isn't the brightest thing in the world.

he does that though. just look at the client list. he goes through crap with the eagles with Hugh Douglas and makes some shady statements to other teams and get douglas caught in the middle of it...then a mere season later, gets a big ass contract for kearse with the eagles. hell even sooner than that gets a nice deal for mcdougle too.

despite the fact that he is a turd of a person. he is a great agent. could that change? sure. but he is a great agent, his deals, and client list speak for that.

IMO, his client list bespeaks the stupidity of the players more than his ability as a representative.

Personally, I wouldn't hire a sleazebag like him as a sports agent any more than I would hire a crooked accountant to do my taxes or an shyster lawyer to represent me in a civil suit.

You're right, it must just be a coincidence that he has so many clients.  About 90 or so NFL players all at once just decided they would go after a horrible agent.  Your logic does seem much better, thanks.
