It would make my day if McNabb came out in his press conference today answering "Next Question!" to the first one asked.

While I disagree with Phattymatt's assertion that he would rather have one ring and a bunch of iceholes (I would rather have a consistently competetive team than have one sell-your-soul season followed by years of misery), there has to be some in between where the team has an attitude and a cockiness but doesn't make you want to stab yourself every ten seconds from the disasterous soundbites that always seem to crop up.

I've discussed this with several friends of mine, namely Rams fans and Bucs fans.  No one seems to have a good answer about winning the SB one year only to suck afterwards.  I can't decide if I would prefer the victory and memories of that season over what we have in the Eagles the last four years where they are consistently superior to the rest of the conference.  Maybe it's because I don't know what it feels like to be a fan of a SB champ, but I have enjoyed four years of smack talk knowing my team could beat up their team.

I'd take 5 years of winless teams for a SB this year.

I think you've spent too much time in DC. After years of listening to nothing but "Our team sucks but at least we've won a superbowl" I can understand. But if we won the superbowl this year and then had five winless seasons I would tear my hair out of my head. I would be 33 the next time they won a game. No farging thanks.

To me getting so close and not winning it all and doing it for this many years is just as frustrating as not winning a game.  Granted, the fact that on most days I could say the Eagles were the better team is nice, but what do I have to show for it.  Oh, I can wear my 2005 NFC East Champions t-shirt I bought.

I get it. I get that thinking. But for me, I would rather be always good and beating up on our rivals and competing for a superbowl, then have one glorious year followed by lots of Baltimore Ravens seasons.

i'm on the fence with this argument, but i'd like to know what it's like to win the super bowl.

I don't even know how it's a hard decision for some people.  We're like the Buffalo Bills of the early 90s, except they got further than us.

I know I am about a week late, but I really want to see the rosenhouse section of the interview.
Does anyone have it in it's entirety?
I can't seem to make any of the sites I found on google work, Damn Mac!

How likely is it that by TO moving on from the Eagles, Rosenhaus get a huge share of any signing bonus with the new team?

Something that would not occur with the Eagles since TO signed a three year deal.

Someone will sign TO to a big one year contract somewhere.

He plays too well on the field for some team not to be tempted.

Look at Keyshawn and Mrs. Terry Glenn on the Cowpukes not a peep.

It takes the correct coach with players who will kick the crap out of selfish players in th locker room until they fall in line.

Trust me Pepper Johnson or Reggie White in his prime would've kicked some sense into TO and this BS would've never happened.

Right.  ::) Because Brian Dawkins and Jeremiah Trotter are just the WRONG players for that.

Obviously they didn't do a good job.

So its the Eagles players' fault for TO being a completely uncontrollable icehole?

Ok.  ::)
