As far as I'm concerned, he can keep the money he made last year.  He earned it.

The signing bonus isn't meant to be just for the first year.  It's meant to represent the entire length of the contract, which is why Ricky Williams had to pay a lot of his back, and Dale Carter, and others...

Seems to me that if Rosenhaus was serious about getting him back in uniform he should be at the NovaCare Complex with TO sitting in a conference room with Lurie, Banner, Reid and McNabb. Then after you set it right with them you go to the public.

Zanshin

Yeah, but it's a rough spot...they want to punish him as much as possible without dragging this thing out.

Just stop paying him. It's that simple. Take me to court. Drag it through the courts for years.

We'll always have the Ray Lewis dance...

I actually saw that one in person.  A definite highlight of his "career" with Philly.

i would think 9 catches for 100+ yards in the Super Bowl off of a broken leg would probably be above that.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Rome

Yes, FF.  I'm aware of that.

Then again, who gives a shtein?  The object of all of this is for the Eagles to rid themselves of T.O. as quickly and painlessly as possible, right?

Just suspend him with pay and then release him next March, no questions asked.

BTW: He earned the $9M last year.  He absolutely did, so going after money he clearly earned is bad policy in my opinion.

You are correct - this wasn't about getting TO back on the team.  This was about "satisfying the Eagles demands" so that they will win the grievance.  If they actually did what you suggest, the Eagles might accept the apology and let TO back on the team...then DR wouldn't get his payday.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Bleed him for every dollar possible. Hit him in the pocketbook. The farging queer.

Not really.  No touchdown, and the Eagles didn't win that game.

Once his back's against the wall after he's screwed up enough or needs help, he's penitant, a regular little angel. For about a month. Then he's right back to his ways, disregarding anyone's feelings but his own.

Thanksgiving must be just great at your house.

He knows better than to bring his act here, believe me. We can't tell our stepdaughter how to live her life, but his garbage does not fly here.

Exactly.  Clause or no clause, it can be argued and argued before a decision is made final, and unlike Ricky Williams, he practiced hard and he played hard.  The other things are harder to prove definitively.

Yeah, he was really fired up.  Hard to take a guy wearing a pink tie seriously, though.

Even TO seemed to get a laugh after the "What have you done besides getting him kicked off the team?" comment.
