I still like the Spadaro (with weapons/armor) & Owens locked room fight.  A cage match on PPV would be cool too.

Today could be a huge day for the Eagles organization.  Andy could turn this all around, IMO.

1.  Suspend T.O. for the Washington game.  Say a decision will be made next week on the Cowboys game.
2.  Get Westbrook inked TODAY.  The deadline is coming, and he is now unquestionably the best player on the offense, maybe on the whole team (with McNabb's injury and T.O.'s suspension).

Easy.  This would lead to a fired-up TEAM, and a win in Washington.

I agree.  Won't happen, but we could dream...
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

i'm with you, but don't think either one will happen.  especially Westbrook.  i have been pro-Westbrook this whole time.  but if he turned down this latest offer than I am done with him.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I think with Owens sealing his fate, Westbrook's demands will increase significantly.
More Mahe please.

Why do I have nightmares of either Jesse Jackson or Jimmy Carter getting involved?  :paranoid

I think Westbrook's demands simply increase as a percentage higher than the Eagles' most recent offer.

Like Billy Wagner, he's claiming he wants to stay in Philly, but he really wants to get on the open market.

why tho?

if they had offered this in the summer hes signed right now...they gambled and now he has a right to gamble on free agency in the off season...they took their time in offering him what he wanted now he can take his own time in signing it...or not signing it

Incorrect.  He wanted to test the open market all along.  He is making them absolutely overpay if they want to lock him up before he gets on the open market.  At this point, though, overpaying slightly would look like a good idea... unless they honestly want to go after Alexander or Edge, which I doubt.

i'm saying I'm done with him if the recent report that he now wants more than Lamont Jordan money is true.  Because the whole time, all you heard was that he wanted Lamont Jordan money.  So, if they offered it, and now he wants more, to me that signals that he's no longer interested in being on the team like he claims and is blinded by the possibility that if they offered him that much, he can more on the open market.  Call me gullible, but I believed that he really wanted to stay here and if they offered what he wanted, he would stay.

question:
QuoteBTW here is the question. If you can criticise Owens for his bad attitude, why can't you criticize McNabb for his bad play????

Dave's surprisingly good response:
QuoteI thank you for your response. Here is mine: This is only a Donovan issue because T.O. has made it one. I have said many times that Donovan is struggling. Everybody acknowledges that. He's trying to fight through it in a professional manner, as always.

Owens, on the hand, in the midst of this very tenuous time, chooses to go on TV and call a teammate out, call an organization out, make more headlines for himself. Why?

What has happened in this case, in my opinion, is that Owens sold out a teammate. Is McNabb not playing well? He went 0 for 12, dummy. Of course he's not playing well. Who is playing well? Why isn't the defense being dragged down, or the special teams or ...

So, the point is, there is a right to fight through adversity and there is a wrong way to fight through adversity. Get it? See my viewpoint. If you care about the team, you handle it the right way. I can't tolerate any Eagle who doesn't care about the team.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
