McNabb's injury isn't the problem. Did you see him move today. Forget the incompletions, he moved like the 100% McNabb. He looked fluid, quick, and strong

this is a good point and while im not gonna say the injury has no effect he did move surprisingly well on some roll outs and scrambles...i said to my brother during the game that right now what you have is the three game stretch that mcnabb has every year where he literally cant throw the ball...the difference being that this year you have the hernia mixed in with the poor play which wont allow him to snap out of it as he has done in past years...i dont see a light at the end of the tunnel right now and its really disheartining
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Andy's ego has become too big for this team. This team is thin in too many areas due to a too complicated offensive scheme and poor drafting on the offensive side, and a few bad breaks.

McNabbs problem is not the roll out its extending his torso to make those accurate throws.

I agree. This is what I think is wrong with McNabb. I think he is playing bad because of something mental, not physical(the sports hernia). But where the sports hernia is hurting him, is he's confused mentally as in what his body is and isn't capable of. I think he might be thinking about the injury way too much and be letting it affect his game. Despite all that though, like I said before. No one would've been effective behind this offensive line today with them having 3 guys in McNabb's face on every down. So combine, the poor pass potection, the inability to run the ball, and McNabb being confused mentally you have a QB playing poorly. If you look at him in the Raiders game and today, it's night and day. The injury was NOT the problem today.

That's just my take.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

McNabb is the weak point of this offense right now.

When you have game-breaking weapons like Owens, Westbrook, and LJ and the defense still has the temerity to blitz both safeties continuously, that tells me the opposing d-coordinator has no respect for McNabb's ability to pass the football....None.

The problem is, the only way to stop defenses from bringing the house is to burn them with the big play (once Owens has his 91-yard catch and run, Denver stopped selling out).  Running won't work (you'll just run into the teeth of the blitz and get stuffed, especially when you lack a FB), and you can't sit there in the pocket and go thru your progressions one-by-one.  This is the kind of defense that is played vs. sucky, scrubby rookie QBs:  put 8-in-the-box and sell out until the QB demonstrates he can beat blitzing.

I disagree. It tells me that they have a lot of respect for McNabb. If they give McNabb time to throw the ball they think he'll pick them apart.

You give any QB time to throw, he'll pick you apart.

Blitzing is a very risky tactic.   There's an old axiom, "Play defense on the good passers and blitz the poor ones."

If we had a QB who could consistently beat the blitz, Owens would've had 300 yards receiving.

The key to beating the blitz is having players back to pick up the blitz. The Broncos went in untouched a lot of the time, McNabb had nowhere to go, and nothing to do but get rid of it.

You leave in 7, they bring in 8.  You leave in 8, they bring in 9.  If a defense wants to get to the QB via a blitz, they can regardless of how seemingly impenetrable is your max protection.

What prevents teams from blitzing QBs like Manning, Brady, etc., is not the fact that their respective teams leave a buncha guys in to block, rather those QBs can read defenses, make the correct decisions in that short span, and get rid of the football rapidly.  If you blitz them, they will burn you bad.

It might help that those QBs actually get a chance to read the defense and decide what to do without worrying about the play clock. Maybe.

Looking at the playoff picture as of now:

1 - Giants (2 losses, 1 in NFC)
2 - Seahawks (2 losses, 1 in NFC)
3 - Falcons (2 losses, 1 in NFC)
4 - Bears (3 losses, 1 in NFC)
5 - Panthers (2 losses, 1 in NFC)
6 - Buccaneers (2 losses, 1 in NFC)
==========================
7 - Cowboys (3 losses, 2 in NFC)
8 - taterskins (3 losses, 1 in NFC)
9 - Eagles (3 losses, 2 in NFC)
10 - Rams (4 losses, 3 in NFC)

Still early.  Nobody running away with things like the AFC...

What?  You saying that second and a half between getting to the line and the clock hitting zero ain't enough time for McNAbb to get his shtein straight?

Also on a serious note, does anyone here besides goeagles99 look at game tape? I want to know what the difference was with our game against the Broncos, and the Giants and taterskins game vs the Broncos. What did they do differently to us than they did to them? Why were they able to own us so bad and not them? What did we do differently to the Broncos compared to what the Giants and taterskins did? How were the taterskins able to keep it close and how were the Giants able to pull out a win and why were we blown out so bad?
