Another lurker who is posting for the first time here.

I was at the game in Denver, and all I can say is even the Bronco fans were upset at Andy.  The people around me just couldn't believe that Andy was so arrogant that he thought he could just pass all game.  Even though they were feeling great that the Broncos were winning, alot of them felt sorry that us Eagle fans paid 65bucks per ticket and travel expenses to watch that crap.

I have wanted Reid to get fired for the last 3 years.  Each year he let key players go, and slowly changed to this pass only offense.  I saw it coming, but nobody would listen.

Each year each team lets key players go. It's called free agency.

Ah, how quickly we all forget the Philadelphia Stars.  At least SOMEONE in this town won something in the last 25 years....

The Wings were fairly dominant while the Gait brothers were there.

Pfft. Lacrosse ::)
Anyone but Reid.

Question for you Next Level:

How many key players did Reid release who played lights out for their new team? So far, after 7 years, maybe 2--Shawn Barber, who never wanted to be here more than one year anyway, ahd a good first year with KC until he injured both knees (AGAIN); and this year, Burgess; if you want to say Duce last year, okay, but he wound up again injured and this year hasn't done squat because he's injured yet again. However, NO COACH OR ORGANIZATION has a crystal ball in March for what is going to happen in September. I dare say that if Burgess hadn't been injured the last 4 games last year, the Eagles MIGHT HAVE tried harder to re-sign him. However, after you lose a guy to injury for two years, and he gets hurt again, there is a distinct feeling of deja vu. And before you draw a comparison to Kearse, remember that Kearse had double-digit sack years behind him--Burgess did not.  And Burgess didn't blossom until Johnson swapped him and Kearse in the NFCCG.

Just saw this thread...and it's ridiculous.  Come on, people.

And why is it the negative stuff that draws out the lurkers?

Well, they should be available come January.  Dom Capers and Jim Haslett too.
Isn't Mora still available?  [squeaky voice]Playoffs....Playoffs?![/squeaky voice]

Well, Mora is the only Philadelphia pro football coach to win his league's championship in my lifetime.  :D

How many here remember the old USFL days?  The Stars were dominant!  :yay

Good point. I wanted Burgess back after his playoff performances but could see why Andy didn't re-sign. Likewise, I was unsure about bringing Buckhalter back. But hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Bringing Buckhalter back was a very limited risk, because he signed for dirt cheap.

True, but they didn't pursue a big-ish back in the draft or free agency because they had Buck. This was a mistake.

I think they didn't pursue a "biggish" back, because they don't value them at all, not because they thought they were set at that position with Buckhalter.  They went with Moats, because he has the possibility of being a gamebreaker.

Basically, I'm saying it's their overall philosophy that should be questioned, and not their reliance on Buckhalter.

Besides, Gordon has actually looked pretty good, but he's not getting the ball anyway.

Moats has been awesome compared to Brandon Jacobs. Playing time is totally over-rated.

Not to mention that Jacobs couldn't catch a concussion if his life depended on it.
