Gotta love 20/20 hindsight.

Burgess DID come up huge in the NFC playoffs last year, but considering his injury history, matching the deal Oakland gave him would have been ridiculous.  On the flip side, McDougle and Kalu were already under contract.

Dude. Trent Cole, dude. Trent. Cole.

Our DEs rule.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Burgess had 2.5 sacks last year.  McDougle had 2.  Yet you say that McDougle wasnt even expected to  contribute this year and blame the Eagles for not getting Burgess back.  hindsight is fun isnt it.

are you happy with their decision?

face it...they stuck with their philosophy of not paying their own free agents & just plugging somebody in there to take their place...and it has backfired so far.
there is absolutely nothing you can say to convince me that this team is better off without burgess & simon...nothing.
cap room can't stop the run or pressure the qb.

We could have had Justin Tuck instead of Moats.

oh and the game day coaching sucks balls

yes it does.  Which is why I dont think keeping Burgess, Simon, Mayberry, Reese or whomever would have made a real difference right now.

that Whomever guy is having a pro bowl year to.

If there's nothing anyone can say to change your mind, then why argue the point?

I swear, this whole topic is fricken pointless.

Unlike you, Im not going to sit back and pretend I could predict the future with McDougle and Burgess.   At the time Burgess went to Oakland I would not have given him that money.   But I know you think your hot shtein and always have the answers, so I'll feel free to go ahead and post a quote from you.

. i think someone will overpay burgess.

well look at that.  Seems like you too thought that someone would overpay for Burgess.  Now shut up with your stupid talk.

Look, I wish the Eagles had four pro bowlers on the d-line, but they don't.

Pissing and moaning over it amongst ourselves just seems like a waste of time to me.  I disagree with you about Simon & Burgess.  So be it.

i am sure trotter, adams, ritchie (at the time), buckhalter, and everyone else on their 2nd or 3rd contracts with the birds would disagree with that statement.
