P.S.  Even on the TD he gave up, Brown was tight in coverage.  Sheldon Brown is easily the 2nd best DB on this team and definitely one of the top 5 cornerbacks in the NFL.  Sheppard is more flashy, but Sheldon is all-around farging great.

Brown is close to a shut-down corner. Better, his head is always in the game and he displays great situational awareness (unlike certain quarterbacks maybe). His strip of the ball at the end of today's game is just one example of that.

Hi, I'm Terrell, and I'll be your waiter this afternoon... Unless, of course, you're Dan Dierdorf or Dick Enberg.

The CBS broadcast duo for the Eagles-Chargers game was distinctly unimpressed by Terrell Owens' latest piece of end-zone pantomime after he caught a 4-yard touchdown pass for the 100th scoring reception of his career.

Owens took a hand towel out of his pants, draped it over his left arm and carried the ball off the field as if he were a server carrying a tray.

"Seen better," said color commentator Dierdorf, a Hall of Fame offensive tackle.

"Four yards: I guess he saves the major stuff for the longer plays," said play-by-play announcer Enberg.

Dierdorf and Enberg piled on during a replay of the T.O. TD.

"Obviously, he had this one well planned," said Enberg.

"Back to the drawing board," advised Dierdorf.

"That's about a C-minus, wouldn't you think," added Enberg.

When San Diego wide receiver Keenan McCardell caught a pass for the Chargers' first touchdown, McCardell mimicked Owens' end zone theatrics, draping towel over his own arm - and drawing laughter from Dierdorf.

"Oh, there's a play off Terrell Owens' waiter routine," said Enberg.

"I believe that's the old saying, 'What goes around, comes around,'" commented Dierdorf.

The Eagles often played eight defenders in the box, sometimes nine, in order to stop the running of Tomlinson.

When asked afterwards if any team had ever bottled him up like that, Tomlinson struggled to find an example.

"Off the top of my head, I really don't know," he said. I will stay that it has been awhile it's been like that."

Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer was more precise.

"Nobody has played him like that," Schottenheimer said. "That is a terrific defensive football team."

Sheldon is the best corner in football IMO. He does it all. He hits, he covers, he tackles he makes heads up plays, and he creates turnovers.
