I tend to agree with those who believe that Brees will stay and Rivers will be dealt. I was frankly surprised prior to last season when it appeared that the Chargers were going to give up on Brees so quickly - he has since proven himself, and they now have the luxury of being able to deal Rivers in the offseason, likely for some pretty good value. AJ will be the veteran backup, and can begin familiarizing himself with the Chargers offense during the remainder of this season.
