Had nothing to do with Labinjo's ability, according to Trotter.

He was late to meetings, had discipline problems. Trotter had talked to him NUMEROUS times about shaping up but it didn't work. He said that when starters like Adams were out there on ST taking his place, he knew Labinjo was gone. He wasn't surprised at all, but that its mind boggling to him how a guy given a chance like Labinjo was, could come in and not work hard, take notes in meetings, show an eagerness to succeed.

That's a shock considering he flat out sucked ass this year.

Don Ho

Just saw the picture of Moreno, Brusci Jr.  Hopefully in playing ability as well.

Uh, when are people going to accept and realize that the vast majority of professional athletes are complete idiots. Dumber than a bag of dirt. I have trouble comprehending the stupidity of some of these people and yet in spite of the constant barrage of evidence we're still surprised when we hear that a marginally talented dude was given a chance and didn't do the little effort things to take advantage. farging pathetic.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

He had the ability and talent, but he didn't use his head to maximize it.

He sucked ass this year and that is the bottom line.

Anyone remember this thread?  :boo

SD, he was replaced on ST by Keith Adams and other players because of his off-field stuff. He didn't play enough to say he sucked ass. And don't give me week one when he was thrown into the starting role at MLB 10 minutes before the game due to the Trotter ejection.

Everytime he was in the game he was either on his ass or out of postion. Can't recall him making a play on Special Teams this season, so yes, he sucked ass. He obviously didn't appreciate his roster spot so I'm glad it was given to someone else.

WEST is GOD

He forced the critical fumble on Hall. That was the one ST play he made. He usually always gets some type of penalty on him or just plays terrible. This move alone regardless won't fix the special teams. The unit as a whole isn't tackling well and they are over-persuing.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

If Labinjo had talent, he would still be here.

he doesn't, so he's gone.

Does anyone believe that if Trotter would show up late to practice he would be cut? Of course not. Big Red would be mad, but Trotter has talent. Obviously Labinjo was expendable because he wasn't very talented.

Sgt PSN

I think he does have talent otherwise he simply wouldn't have made it as far as he has.  There was a lot of buzz about him after last year.  He was fantastic in preseason and showed a lot of promise.  Obviously he just doesn't have the desire to try and improve himself as a player or contribute to the team.  That is why he got cut.  Talent has nothing to do with it.  Mahe and McMullen are still on the roster.  Why?  Because they show up to work on time and do what they're supposed to do.

No, they do what they're supposed to do.  They might not do it well.  But they do it none the less.

FYI...

Labinjo missed or was late to several team meetings.  Last one....was last week  (apparently that was the straw that broke the camel's back.)  He also had "conditioning" problems.  Don't ask me how I know, but I do know this.  He wasn't cut because they were unhappy with his play only, but because he just wasn't cutting it off the field.  It's a shame, he's a super nice guy.

Also, I'm not sure if Greg Richmond is able to go yet.  He's still recovering from back surgery.
