You must be listening to Howard.

The Eagles made some personnel changes Tuesday, signing linebacker Zeke Moreno to a one-year contract and releasing linebacker Mike Labinjo and defensive end Alonzo Jackson.
A five-year veteran, the 6-foot-2, 246-pound Moreno amassed 141 tackles and 3 sacks in four seasons as a member of the San Diego Chargers. His best season came in 2003, when he started 12 games at middle linebacker and posted career highs in tackles (95) and sacks (2).

The 26-year-old Moreno signed with the Houston Texans this past offseason, but was released prior to the start of the regular season.

A fifth-round draft choice out of USC in 2001, Moreno was a two-time All-Pac 10 Conference selection and was named MVP as the team's captain during his senior season.

The Chula Vista, CA, native attended Castle Park High School in San Diego, CA, and earned defensive MVP and All-CIF San Diego honors as a senior.

Moreno will wear jersey number 50.

I guess Moreno is a good STs player...

And I guess we'll see McCants signed again soon? Or they cut Jackson because it's almost McDougle time.

Just checkin...Howard mentioned and 30 seconds later it was posted.

Anyway...does anyone have and feelings about Moreno?  Is he good for the system?  Is he just gonna sit on the bench?

I recall a some weeks back Spadz was talking about PUP guys who could come back and contribute.  McDougle wasn't the first name he mentioned...it was Greg Richmond.
More Mahe please.

Couldn't tell you much about him.

All's I know is that this is exactly like 2002.

During the BYE in 2002 they cut Quentin Caver and signed Keith Adams when the STs units were struggling.

Now they do pretty much the same thing. This is to help the coverage units, IMO.

I also expect to se Matt McCoy activated.

Larry

All I know about Moreno is that he's from USC, he's smart, but kinda slow of foot.
More Mahe please.

MURP

wow.  never saw that coming.   I remember watching Moreno when he was at USC.  Guess Labinjo must have really sucked at ST's to be toast.

I think it's important to note that 'Zeke' is a more manly-sounding nickname for 'Isaac' than is 'Sack'.

It finally gives Labinjo his chance to DOMINATE the CFL.
