i dont understand why they would do this, they have Javy. unless hes going to play 1st base some because Palmeiro left.

uh....no, he didnt sign yet.

chill homie...semantics....they reached an agreement pending a physical next week...hes locked and loaded

javy will still catch oncwe or twice a week and will dh or play first the rest of the time

I was glad to see the Yanks offer Bernie Williams arbitration.  He's old and not the player he used to be but he (along with Jeter) have been the face of the Yankees for the last 10 years.  Looks like he'll get to retire in pinstripes, as he should.  Nice move by Steinbrenner.  Who knew he had a heart?

Redmon went to KC for Jeremy Affeldt and another quality reliever (brainfarting and I can't remember his name).  Pointless trade for both teams imo.  The Royals have a quality starter now but no one to finish the game so Redmon better go all 9 innings otherwise he'll finish the season with a shteinload of no decisions.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh got a couple of nice guys for the pen.  Too bad they'll never come in to preserve a lead but will pitch a ton of innings and break down shortly after the AS Breack.

Great trade!

Marte's really inconsistent. He will absolutely suck on a zesty team like Pittsburgh.

Todd Pratt signed with the Braves

oh ma god. hes like 50. what is wrong with them.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

From the Chicago Trib...

QuoteThe White Sox, in a quest to fortify their pitching staff in an escalating free agent market, agreed to a deal late Tuesday night that would bring Javier Vazquez from Arizona in exchange for starting pitcher Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, reliever Luis Vizcaino and minor-league outfielder Chris Young

Kenny Williams is wheelin' and dealin' out there. henchman should be happy...

Chances are that Alex Rodriguez will be playing for the Dominican Republic as well.
