If this has been put in another thread, I apologize. IF (notice I put that in BIG LETTERS) Reid decides to sit McNabb for at least two games, who WOULD YOU like to see start?

Myself, it would have to be McMahon, largely, because he has mobility over Koy, a somewhat stronger arm, and if Koy got hurt again, McMahon would have to learn how to hold on FG and EXP attempts.

This has been talked about at LARGE on this board before.

And why in the hell would McMahon have to learn to hold? Koy would still be the #2 behind McMahon.

I don't think there's anyone on here who wants Koy in for an extended period of time.

The idea of Koy under center against any non-49er team makes me want to shtein in my pants.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I said if Koy got hurt, like he did in 2002, when HE COULDN'T HOLD for 2 or 3 games.

PhillyGirl

What point does that have to do with anything.

Koy wouldn't get hurt because he wouldn't be starting a game in place of McNabb.

Who is the backup holder these days?  Used to be Chad....

Never mind - it's the punter.
Anyone but Reid.

Zanshin

I think it's Bartrum.  He snaps in a high arc, then runs back to hold.  Dude's good.

MadMarchHare

As long as he doesn't have to kick it.  Man, watching that was painful.
Anyone but Reid.

Rome

Koy knows the offense.  He sucks but at least he's familiar with it so I'd go with him.

I'd also run Westbrook & Gordon about 40 times a game but that's just me.

hey, lay off the best long snapper in the league, he's not a kicker.

Go easy, T.  Not only is he the best long snapper, he had the best TD celebration of the year!
But he ain't no kicker.
Anyone but Reid.

I don't think Koy would even want to be in for an extended period of time.

MURP

Id give Koy a shot.

It's not like McMahon has a history of awesome quarterbacking.

I'd go McMahon, for reasons already stated...has a better arm/mobility, and would preserve Koy as holder, which will also be important with a new/young kicker filling in for Akers.

But, I'd go McMahon with a much more balanced running game using Westy/Gordon/Moats, so McMahon could try to settle down and get comfortable, and not be the total spaz he was at times in the preseason.

At least we're not in the Jets' QB situation (knock wood)...sheesh, is that bad luck.
