Either of them should've been cut.

Reid farged up yesterday.

I know it's been said, but if LJ didn't fumble on the five yard line in the fourth quarter, the Eagles go up 27-13 with approximately ten minutes left in the game, and would've had all of the momentum. If not for that fumble, I think the Eagles would've won fairly easily after taking over the second half, and none of this hand-wringing would be necessary (although the injuries are a definite concern). LJ is becoming a liability at times...great skills, but sometimes making mistakes at inopportune times.

The Raiders are a good team, who were screwed by the schedule makers in drawing the Patriots, the Chiefs and the Eagles in their first three games. I still believe they may challenge for a WC in the AFC. This was a good win, one where the team had injured key players who dug in deep to pull out the game.

And, Reid definitely made a poor decision in not promoting France to the active roster, but that's been said by many.

I think the decision not to activate the kicker was probably left up to Harbaugh, because you figure if you promote another kicker to the roster, you'll have to cut or deactivate a ST player.  Given the choice of the two options, especially in light of facing a dangerous kick returner, it seemed like a good decision before the opening kickoff.
More Mahe please.

My major concern is that the Eagles are going to be 2-2 after next week.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Agreed...if healthy, this had the looks of a close game. With an injured Donovan, Akers, and others, I'm rather concerned about the Chiefs.

My concern with McNabb is him turning into McNair.  Yea hes a freakin warrior playing hurt, but hes not going to be playing at all if he continues to put his body through this sunday after sunday.

Not to keep beating a dead horse, but a few more running plays to keep the pass-rushers honest would also be helpful in keeping Donovan healthier. Throwing the ball 50 times a game isn't going to dissuade many defenses from rushing the passer on every play.

Oh, and it's nitpicking because he's a great QB and he's trying to make a play at all times, but Donovan still holds onto the ball too long...he's gotta start to make a decision to throw, run or throw the ball away quicker, or keep risking turn-overs and/or serious injury.

I response to someone's question earlier. Collins won his first 6 games against us in NY, and lost his last 5.
Also, what the hell has to heppen for us to run the ball?
A terible first half passing?
A hurt qb?
A very effective run-game?
Is Reid just inable to learn from things going on around him in a game?

The horse isn't dead. He says he wants to have a 60/40 mix. But it's a whole helluva lot closer to 70/30 and that's a recipe for disaster. The horse won't die until he shows some ability to balance when the passing game isn't working.

Since Andy is the King of the Castle, who in the organization is going to tell him any differently?

He'll pass until the quarterback's arm falls off.  That's what he does and he's not going to change, so quit bitching about it already.

Sheesh.

Heading into KC, I'm obviously concerned with the Chiefs running game.  Their receivers don't scare me at all.  Gonzo does but Kennison and Horn don't.  The Chiefs offense hasn't been as dynamic as it's been in years passed.  It's been effective but not explosive.  Their defense is improved but I'm not really worried about it.  Against the Jets, they did a good job against the run but the Jets had receivers open all day in the secondary.  Unfortunately they a) have Pennington at QB and b) developed a Charles Johnson-esque case of the dropsies.  Their corners can and will be beat.

I'm chalking their defensive performance against the Raiders simply as getting up for a division rival.

One thing that I'm not expecting to see in this game is Westy have the same type of game he did today.  Derrick Johnson is more than capable of running with him.  I don't know if any of you have had a chance to watch him in the NFL yet but this dude is the real deal.

Horn's a pretty good receiver, but the Eagles won't be seeing him this Sunday. You must be thinking of Hall or Parker.

Anyone but Reid.

Wow, he must be Joe Horn's brother.  They look like twins.
