I would love to see something like this go down in US and A.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I would totally watch that. Although I've watched people do heroine before... actually, it was cook, deplunge, strap, spike, fall asleep... so maybe I wouldn't watch. Boring.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I'm disappointed that the author of the article didn't realize how important a picture of this smack skank is to the story.

I wonder what the context of the program will be... I missed the whole fuss by the way...

I know about the sex-program (and know it drew a lot of criticism, predominantly from the religious conservatives).

They did a similar program named "What I have now..." about a number of subjects generally considered taboo, about (physical) ailments people have but that are considered taboo. It was quite confrontational (and would never ever have been aired on US tv because of impropriety) but it was widely praised, as it showed the bare reality that these kids/youngsters have to go through every day and how it affects their lives...

So concerning this program I wonder how they'll do it. As a fact is that over the last years the government has stepped back if not completely abandoned the approach of prevention and informing youngsters for repressive talk (and some action). An approach which has proven a complete failure in the past and even today (as can be seen in the US ie every single day) for many aspects concerning drugs, sex and their impact on health. And many youngsters hardly realize what they are getting themselves into... so maybe seeing someone else behave foolishly on TV under the influence might make them think twice... It could be quite confrontational, and in the past a confrontational approach has been by far the most effective against alcohol, drugs, tobacco and fireworks-abuse.

With Timmy, one of three things is going to happen. Somebody is going to get hurt - it's either going to be him, an opponent, or one of our players.

QuoteIn other segments of the show, Wesselink plans to go on a drinking binge in a series of pubs. He also plans to take the hallucinogenic drug LSD — on his couch under the supervision of his mother.

this guy is either already an experienced user, or a total azz. mess with this stuff, and there is a decent chance it will have long term ramifications on your life. nothing to joke about, heroin users end up one of three ways, in rehab, in jail, or dead. it may be a long road, but the destination in predetermined. i can't see knowingly entering into the vicious cycle .... nothing like waking up, and wondering how you are gonna lie, cheat, or steal just not to be sick today.

if they wanna help kids, then just turn the cameras on heroin and oxycontin users already in rehab or jail. their stories will scare the shtein out of you. innocent teens dealing with problems no one should have to, seeking relief they turn to a temporary haven only to find they have stepped into an overpowering addiction that will steal their personality, honesty, trust of others, self esteem, family, friends, possesions, and possibly their will to live. there may never be a day that they are free from the urge to use.

to take this lightly in a bid for fame or ratings is a mistake.
