We all know now that Trot & mathis lost 10K, why the Farg is d-Hall getting a farging mulligan on this? I'm sick of psuedo star treatment of prima-donna supposed marquee players. He threw punches admitted by ATL mediahttp://www.accessnorthga.com/news/ap_newfullstory.asp?ID=65027 even and we've seen the spiked helmet footage ad-nouseum.

Is Bud Selig running the NFL too? I thought the NFL was consistently better than MLB, but it's starting to close the gap in the wrong direction.

If an Eagle spiked a ATL helmet our own organization would be embarrassed and probably fine him, showing ATL has less class, Mora Jr. probably laughed than hit the smellin' salts again.

The Atlanta media didn't write that, its an AP article. And it was his teammates helmet he spiked, not an Ealges helmet.

Thats a great question.  Hall should have been ejected and fined.

I DO agree that Hall should have been ejected...and had he been, he wouldn't have been trying to farg TO up the ass all night a la Ricky Manning Jr on Pinkston in the NFCCG.

yeah, it was an Eagle helmet no doubt.

Mad-Lad

it was an Eagles helmet.  I remember noticing Trotter was going to have to pick up the earpiece or whatever flew off of it when it hit the ground.

The whole Deangelo Hall thing is pretty funny if you ask me.  He pulls a chucklenuts move like that and gets away with it, then follows it up with a decent game where he supposedly "shut down" TO.

If these two teams meet again in the playoffs...  holy crap.  Combine Atlanta's overconfidence with Philly's motivation and you've got an ugly one-sided game.

Well, here's something from the Atlanta Journal-Consitution--read the last line:

Eagles complain about McNabb hit

The Eagles asked the NFL about a hit that Falcons defensive tackle Chad Lavalais put on quarterback Donovan McNabb in the first quarter, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Eagles say Lavalais lunged at McNabb and hit him with the top of his helmet at the same time defensive end Brady Smith tackled him on a pass attempt that was intercepted by Hall.

McNabb's chest was bruised on the play.

Signora would not say if Lavalais was facing disciplinary action, but he said parts of the game were being reviewed by director of football operations Gene Washington.

So he's reviewing more than the late hit on McNabb.

Personally, I feel this was a good loss.  This was a major wake-up call for the Eagles.  Now maybe they'll stop counting their money and play.  If I were Reid, I'd fine Trotter too for being a fleshpop!  No way he should let guys goad him into fighting.  I think he is as much a "me, me" player as TO.  Hall should have been ejected and I hope the league looks at the hit on McNabb because it was intentional in my view.  We'll see Atlanta in the playoffs and it won't be pretty, I can tell you that.

ESPN News has been reporting this morning that the NFL is expected to fine Lavalais today for his hit on McNabb.  Not that it does any good now, but at least they are admitting the mistake.  However, they aren't going to admit 2 mistakes and fine/suspend Hall for his actions.

I fourth that.  And even ESPN made mention that he should be fined for that...yet nothing happened.

Jeezus, people.  It's Thursday, and you're still whining about the refs and who did and didn't and might and mightn't get fined.  Who gives a flipping shtein?  Kill the farging 49ers.

Sgt PSN

You care and the fact that you posted here confirms that.  :P
