My point is that MURP's attempt to dispel the theory that the Phillies choke when the home crowd is large by claiming it's simply that their opposition has been better in those games is not true. The two top teams in the division were in town this week, and the Phillies couldn't sell out games, despite being "right in the thick of it" in the wild card race.

They are chokers. They don't have the pitching to win anything.

If you read my post I was asking a question. I guess you missed the ? at the end.  I know their chokers, and I hope they lose every game until Ed Wade is replaced.

thats a 2 year losing streak...considering his contract was just extended. stupid phils.

contracts are made to be broken.

Am I the only one left on the bandwagon? I have faith in Loserthal, Bell and Lidle!  ;D
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

I'm still on...have been and will be.

Lieber gave up a bomb to Delgado in the 1st.

Home plate umpire is mega-zesty tonight.

Damian Easley farged his ankle up...I cheered because he kills the Phils.

PhillyPhreak54

Jimmy Rollins extends his streak to 22 in a big way!!

2R HR JRoll!!

Their RF missed robbing him by a CH.

Abreu leadoff double followed by:

Abreu leadoff walks, steals 2nd.
Burrell walks
Lefty in for Howard, who k's
Righty in for Bell, who pops up---keep in mind its huge he did that cause the alternative would've been a double play
Pratt walks
Cholly pinch hits Tucker (1-11) for Lieber....who delivers with a 2r single
JRol is on fire, 2bi double...to 3rd on error
Lofton then singles
Utley 3U

After all of that....7-2 game. Wow.

Who are these guys and what have they done with the Phillies?

???

If they win this series, I'm back on.... so help me.

So, they'll have to beat Beckett or D-Train.

Today:  Padilla vs. Willis
Tomorrow:  Brito vs. Beckett

The Phils smacked Beckett around (5 runs in 2IP) the only time they faced him and got the win.

They are 1-3 vs. Willis:
L 4/13:  Complete game shutout
L 4/30:  5 IP, 0 ER (Complete game; rain-shortened)
L 5/23:  8 IP, 2 ER
W 7/17:  5.2 IP, 8 ER (this was during Willis' brief slump after the All-Star Break)

PhillyPhreak54

Not expecting a win today vs. D-Train. I think they can do it but won't. Maybe they shock me. But I think they get Beckett tomorrow.

Rollins
Michaels
Abreu
Burrell
Utley (although I wouldn't be shocked to see Kata or Perez start)
Bell
Lieberthal
Martinez
Crazy Vicente
