Nope.  Not on the bandwagon.  The NL wild-card is now a two-team race - Marlins and 'Stros.

Come on, FF, the Phillies are in the race.

We may not choose to get our hopes up, but they are in the race.

WAR PHILS!  >:D

FF, 3 out of 4 from the Braves isn't choking.

i beg to differ when you put this game in the proper context.

a win puts them on top of the wild card race. i said it before, when this team needs a win...they com up small.

you put them on a 3 or 4 game losing streak and everyone forgets about them, they play great. as soon as there is any spotlight, or pressure on this team to win...they fold.

i turned on 610 this morning, and keith jones said something like "the only way they can get into the wildcared is if they are 2 games out in the final 4 days and everyone has written them off."

it's amazing, they also said, in crowds at home under 30,000(?) they are 14-3 this year. in the 10 sellouts, 3-7.

this team does nothing well but farging choke.

cause sellouts are against the good teams like the Red Sox and the under 30,000 are against teams that suck ass?

They weren't selling out the Braves or Marlins series.

And the Braves and Marlins weren't selling out shtein either. What's your point?

I think the point is that baseball sucks and when you've got a team competing for a playoff spot in a new gorgeous stadium and you still can't sell out, you've got undeniable proof that it sucks.

My point is that MURP's attempt to dispel the theory that the Phillies choke when the home crowd is large by claiming it's simply that their opposition has been better in those games is not true.  The two top teams in the division were in town this week, and the Phillies couldn't sell out games, despite being "right in the thick of it" in the wild card race.

They are chokers.  They don't have the pitching to win anything.

If you read my post I was asking a question. I guess you missed the ? at the end.  I know their chokers, and I hope they lose every game until Ed Wade is replaced.

Many people put a ? after a comment to be a smartass and ask a hypothetical question to prove their point.  That is how it appeared, sir.
