I'd have liked to have seen Moats activated. NO reason he wasn't. NONE.

It was because he still makes a lot of mistakes in protection, and Reno was more experienced for special teams.  However, after watching Reno suck complete balls last night , I would not be at all surprised to see Moats get a shot to take Reno's place as Hood's lead blocker on kickoff returns.

Well, they're not going to "wear them down" running Westy from a single-back formation.

tru dat

what scares me is they arent going to need the run the next two weeks...but come arrowhead its gonna be a must...and by then andy will probably have forgotten about the atl game

Agreed. In KC they will need to run.

And Mahe farging blew ass last night. Cut. Him. Now.

I want to see Thornberg out there on ST and Moats playing as well.

Did Mcnabb have his x-rays yet or no?

I'd assume they would take them after the game.

If not, and they get them done tomorrow, and he has a cracked sternum, how much time is that out? Or does he just play through it?

I'm not sure why you're so hung up on it.  After that initial hit, he didn't wince once because of that, and his throwing motion looked the same.  I'd be shocked if it was anything more than a bruise.

Mcnabb was far more pathetic than the offensive line. In the second half it did a much better job protecting him. He was throwing terrible uncharacteristic passes. You don't just throw 5 yards behind a player. He was extremely inaccurate and I did see him wince multiple times.

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

I'm going to rewatch the entire game later today on tivo. Especially at the end of the game. I want to count how many times Mcnabb could've ran to pick up first downs. I was watching the game with a few friends and in the 4th quarter there were multiple times where Mcnabb dropped back and was goin through his reads. I screamed at the TV, JESUS CHRIST NO ONE'S OPEN TAKE OFF!! Instead he'll fire an inaccurate pass 5 yards behind TO or into the dirt. Even if he didn't pick up a first, that would leave us at 2nd and 5 rather than 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 5 rather than 3rd and 10. His chest was definitely bothering him. Mcnabb isn't the most accurate passer in the world, but he's definitely improved over the years and was way too awful last night for me not to say his chest wasn't a factor.

QuoteStats of the Week No. 2 : Eagles' coaches called 48 passes and 13 rushes -- though trailing by a touchdown or less most of the game.
This is what botheres me the most about Andy Reid. He's WAY too pass happy sometimes.
I think he gets into a rut sometimes, and doesn't see the forest for the trees.  He has his little chart with plays for certain situations.  I think the problem is when they have a problem moving the ball on 1st down, they get into a pass rut for 2nd and 3rd down.  I don't think they do well because they run the ball - its that they only run the ball when they are doing well.

yeah, the hit on McNabb was a penalty... just like the hit on Ritchie in the preseason against the Steelers.   :-D

I ain't no NB, but Lavalais left his feet and speared McNabb. He lead with the crown of his helmet. I bet he gets fined for it, but that doesn't matter now. It was a penalty.

I disagree.   :deion

it should have been called. the guy lept at him head first into his chest, while his arms were almost to his sides, after the throw. it should have been at least a 15 yarder. it was a textbook spearing play.

The thing that sucks for me is that I'm not going to be able to forget about this loss until we beat the Falcons again. My heart thirsts for revenge, and I want revenge against the Falcons. Please let us play them in january. PLEASE.

The O line was AT LEAST as bad as McNabb was.  And all that early pressure gave him the happy feet to begin with.  And I was right....it was only a bruise.

mcnabb played much worse than the line...but he gets a pass because of the injury...so with that taken into consideration the line was actually worse as they had no excuse

Don't forget about what happened in 2003. Everyone was ripping Mcnabb a new one, until we found out that deep bone bruise in his hand was affecting him more than we thought. I think this could've affected him in the same way. His mechanics looked the same, but how much can you really tell from a TV broadcast? The results were what looked off. I'm just saying man, he hasn't played that bad in a while. Not even against a far superior defense in the Ravens last year. You can have bad games every once in a while, but not like that.

You know what?  Who cares, either way?  The offense choked last night as a whole, and they collectively need to get it together.

MURP

McNabb played worse than the Oline.  The Oline played worse than McNabb.  Who gives a shtein. There is no way to prove either one.  They both sucked balls.  end of story.
