From Peter King:

QuoteI think the Eagles, believe it or not, are still open to paying Terrell Owens his $7.5-million option bonus next March and keeping him. Andy Reid told me the other day it's in the 2006 budget. Not to say they'll do it if he's divisive this year, but they're at least open to it.

:)

I'm certain that Banner has the cap planned out at least 2 or 3 years in advance.  So when they signed TO last year, he probably started crunching numbers to make room for the 2006 season since that would be the most beneficial time to try and re-work TO's contract because of all the bonus money he would be owed.  Whether or not the Eagles will try and keep TO around long term or not is yet to be seen but it doesn't surprise me at all that they already have the money set aside to do so.

TO didn't do his segment yet. Howard said he was late or something and they'll air it as soon as he starts.

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

He dropped a vat of acid on a bus full of nuns.

Maybe if you listened to something other than ESKIN (like the streaming online LIVE version of the show), you'd hear that because the team has a Monday night game, TO is on a different practice/meeting schedule than if they had a Sunday game. This is a weekly show time, which will be altered according to TO's practice/meeting schedules....like Monday night games.

Said he was just "having fun" with the media outside of the house...even though they wanted him to be out there raging and yelling about what was going on. He said he was amused watching the media all over it. Said he thought it was hilarious and didn't know why some players were pissed (Ray Ray) that he was on TV, that he didn't force the media to start covering it the way they did.

He said things have changed with him and Dmac and their friendship since last season when the host of the show did the ESPN the Mag piece with them.

Said he's not going to do anymore interviews after Irvin and everyone will be able to hear what he has to say and he'll let his football play do the talking for him all season.

Doesn't bother him what people say when he's on the field playing.

Said he's putting his contract situation on the shelf for now and he's just going to get to playing football. That its NOT an issue right now.

And that at the end of the season, when the EAGLES WIN THE SUPER BOWL, they will work out the contract stuff. :drool

Tells Eagles fans not to worry about him dogging it, he'd never do it.

Ripping Sal Pal for his inaccurate reporting about training camp and how he wasn't ignoring his teammates and saying that he he wasn't ripping the team apart like Sal Pal said.

QuoteOwens said he's cleared the air with McNabb

By ROB MAADDI, AP Sports Writer
September 9, 2005

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb have resolved their feud, according to the enigmatic All-Pro wide receiver.

Owens said Friday in a radio interview on Miami's 790 AM that he spoke to McNabb and the two Philadelphia Eagles stars are "getting along just fine.''

"We both have a mutual respect for each other and I think we probably understand that both of us may have been wrong in the situation, but that's between Donovan and I,'' Owens said.

Owens started the friction in April when he took a shot at McNabb, saying he "wasn't the guy who got tired in the Super Bowl.''

McNabb responded harshly, insisting he didn't get sick and wasn't tired in the fourth quarter of the Eagles' 24-21 loss to New England eight months ago.

After he was banished from camp last month following a heated dispute with coach Andy Reid, Owens again went after McNabb, calling the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback a hypocrite. Owens has changed his act since returning to practice, and hasn't caused any disruptions.

Owens isn't speaking to reporters in Philadelphia, but did a television interview with ESPN's Michael Irvin earlier this week and is scheduled to appear weekly on the radio station in Miami.

"I don't hate Donovan. I never hated Donovan. I was frustrated at the time. There was emotion. I have a right to do that,'' Owens said. "I don't have a problem. I'm not too proud to go up to Donovan and say, 'Let's work this out, or let's play ball and put everything behind us.' I'm not too proud to do that, not at all.''

Asked on Thursday if he had spoken to Owens, McNabb wouldn't comment.

"When we're out on that field, we have the best relationship possible, to be the best at what we do,'' McNabb said.

Despite their icy relationship, McNabb and Owens had no trouble on the field. In their lone appearance together in the preseason, the two connected five times for 131 yards, including a 64-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage in a victory over Cincinnati on Aug. 26.

Both players celebrated that score separately with other teammates and ignored each other throughout the game, but Owens said he's now broken the silence.

Owens dominated the headlines this offseason with his demand for a new contract just one season into the seven-year, $48.97 million deal he signed when he came to Philadelphia in March 2004.

The Eagles have refused to redo the deal.

"It'll get resolved one way or another,'' Owens said. "Right now, we'll put the contract situation on the shelf, but after we win the Super Bowl, it'll get revisited.''

They are just repeating the same shtein. Can't they just play the farging game and win, so we can drop the TO/McNabb "feud?"
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Howard Eskin is flat out amazing.

I'm listening to his show and a few of his ball suckers are calling in and asking about TO. And Howard says "I'll be sure to bring it up on his show on Friday. I'll ask him."

He's making it sound like since WIP is simulcasting the show that it is actually his TO show. And people believe him!
