all i can say is i was very happy we decided to leave with 4 minutes left in the first half.  i was at the stadium and could barely keep attention on the field.  detmer stunk it up at qb, but at least we know his role, mcmahon still concerns me because if dmac did have to sit a game, he's be starting, i'd rather have blake back there.

Blake looked JUST as awful last year in the preaseason when the 3rd string oline was out there.

It'd would've been interesting to see McMahon play a few series with the first team in the preseason, but don't want to see it now. He's a bit of a spaz back there, looking look he drank five Red Bulls before kickoff. He's definitely got an arm and some athleticism, and can run. But, he can't be throwing back across his body into double coverage in the red zone...that was a horrible decision, and he made a few of them.

Then again, I'd feel better with him in there than Koy...I like Koy, seems like a great guy...but, he's most suckilicious as a QB. There's got to be a way to train someone else on the team to be Akers' holder who is also, you know, competent at another position.

the game sucked arse but at least the eagles showed their DT depth by holding the jets to 188 yards rushing on 4.7 ypc.

And I'm so sure Simon, playing alongside other 3rd stringers, after not playing a single down of football all offseason, would have provided much needed relief.
